Mordheim Video Game Coming Soon From Focus Interactive!
March 26, 2014 by brennon
Focus Home Interactive have today made a new Twitter Account for Mordheim: City of the Damned and shown some screenshots of a game that appeared from the nowhere! It looks like a strategic role-playing style game is now on the cards!
As you can see above Skaven & Empire are the name of the day at the moment but there are plans to bring all of the warbands from the skirmish game back into the digital realm. Now this is a game that I am very, very much looking forward to.
You'll be able to take on foes in single player and multi-player games and it will be interesting to see what gameplay we'll be seeing. It looks like the game is going to be turn based, which is pretty awesome, and could be following in the footsteps of games like XCOM in that regard.
I love that, from the information we have, each unit is just as prone to die as in the tabletop game with defeated troops being gone forever!
Mordheim is back folks!

This is the reward we get for living good lives. Awesome!
I would have rather seen a new MINIATURES game set in Mordheim. But I’ll take this as an appetizer.
Yeah, polished ruleset (armor issues, dual wielding), and a new shiney boxed set with terrain etc.. would be cool, but i’ll take what i can get from Mordheim 🙂
why are the buildings not ruined?
this is not the Mordheim I used to know…
Mordheim video game = exciting.
Focus being involved = not exciting.
Given the fact that they’ve still not managed to make a decent Blood Bowl video game (despite 3 full-price attempts) I don’t hold much hope for this. 🙁
Focus got really great Wargame among their games…and few other interesting products…Let’s give ’em a chance…=)
Are Focus Home Interactive any good?
I hear GW have gone MENTAL recently and just thrown their IP out to any useless developer.
Focus are useless. 🙁
It’s good that they’re getting more video games out there because all the Warhammer games are very well done and would translate well to digital games IF the devs both manage to streamline the experience (so we don’t get overburdened with stats and interrupt the flow of the game) AND keep the soul of the original.
Space Hulk did this wrong last year apparently (according to reviews I read): They managed to obliterate the tension of the original by having extremely dumb AI that was easy to bottleneck and obliterate.
Wow….Wow….Same way I felt when i first heard about the making of the LoTR movies..lol…..awesome. Been waiting a lonnnnggggg time for this. Hope they stick to the rules.
I agree it’d be AMAZING to have a solid XCOM style game based in Mordheim!
I wonder if the various warbands introduced in the Town Cryer will also be included. if a Bretonnian warband makes an appearance, I’ll buy it for certain.
I think it’s Brennon’s recent Mordheim Journals on BoW that inspired this video game production. Now remember Brennon, when you build your first digital Witch Hunter band, don’t forget the warhounds!
Here’s hoping for mighty Witch Hunters!
Awesome! Can’t wait to see how it plays.
So hoping this will be good, such a great game on the table top – Eldritch, atmospheric and darkly humourous – now hoping for carnival of chaos as an option
