Meet The Vampire Counts Of Total War: Warhammer
March 16, 2016 by brennon
Keeping up with what is going on in the Old World of Total War: Warhammer we have the first cinematic trailer for the Vampire Counts. You can meet the deadly Mannfred Von Carstein above as he slaughters his way through an Empire patrol...
I'm sure that, just like with the other races in Total War: Warhammer, the Vampire Counts will play quite differently from other armies. I'm looking forward to using those Vargheists and Vargulfs to smash apart regiments in battle. I wonder how in keeping with the tabletop game the units are going to be?
This was great for reminding me of how awesome and dark the Old World was/is and made me seriously consider going back to making a Witch Hunter warband for Mordheim.
Could you see yourself playing as the Vampire Counts when the game comes out?

VC was my favorite faction in WHF since 6th edition and it’s great to see them back as well as Mannfred.
How many Vampire Counts can a Vampire Count count if a Vampire Count counts Vampire Counts?

defiantly a game to look out for.
This game looks absolutely fucking BRILLIANT.
BRING IT ON!
I have always loved the Vampire Counts, and the units here look like they have been lifted straight from the tabletop. Mannfred Von Carstein is one of the premier hardcore villainous, properly devious types of the Warhammer fiction, with a real penchant for backstabbing betrayal and sadistic violence. He should make for an epic faction leader for the vampire Counts force in Total War: Warhammer.
Excited about this! I pre-ordered the game after your last adventure. And I picked up a Skeleton Horde at GW two days ago, just primed it all now!
Moved over to kings of war but this will let play classic Warhammer fantasy and it keeps getting better with each trailer.
My friends and I called this game ages ago, when we were playing Medieval Total War. There have been mods aplenty along the way, but to see this actually coming together like this is almost surreal. This was awesome. My only nitpick would have been that Mannfred’s voice was a little too demonic for my tastes, but otherwise super-stoked to see the final product. Very happy it got pushed back a little bit so that its release is hopefully a little smoother than Rome 2’s was. Most curious about how they’re going to handle co-op. My current theory is that… Read more »
