Join us for another Community Spotlight today as we delve into what you've been doing in the Hobby & Painting Forum here on Beasts Of War.

We've got some great projects for you to get stuck into this week including one community member showing off what you can do with the Army Painter method!

Madame Loveless & Blood Bowl Skaven by kamaron

Leading things off we have kamaron who has been showing off what you an achieve with the Army Painter Method. He not only painted up Madame Loveless & Her Cheerful Girls...

...for In Her Majesty's Name but also this Skaven team for use in Blood Bowl.

Both of these groups of models were done over the Easter weekend showing that you can indeed get a lot done with some basing coating and some perseverance. I really like the style and deep red that kamaron went for with the gang and the Skaven have been done in a nice rusted colour.

Some splashes of colour then bring the team to life and brings the focus towards the Gutter Runners who are of course the star players.

Lizardman Totem by slarty

We then move onto a piece of terrain with this Lizardmen Totem that was crafted by slarty!

This is a great piece showing off the neat geometry of the stuff you would find in the jungles of Lustria. We even have a recipe of what went into this piece...

"Extruded polystyrene, Mod Podge, dirt, dried tobacco chips, aquarium plants, flock and acrylic paints"

I really like the weathering that has gone into making the stone feel realistic as if it has been hewn out of a larger piece with all of the little grooves and chips done to the work. It has an ancient feel and with a few of these dotted around the tabletop you'd have some nice focus terrain to ground the tabletop in the location you want.

Project OZAK by piers

piers is showing off some of his impressive Historical work as he gets stuck into Project OZAK which will be bringing the little-known Operational Zone of the Adriatic Littoral to life. He has begun with a few unfortunate volunteers...

This marks the beginning of a squad on the tabletop with the MG team alongside a few regular soldiers. They will be used in conflicts against the Allies and Partisan forces when they get down to the tabletop.

What I liked about this set was that he's managed to pick out so much detail across the figures, clearly showing all of their equipment and getting some good detail on their faces too. These are also in 20mm so not the typical Bolt Action scale you might be used to.
