Dig Deeper Into The Races & World Of Total War: Warhammer II
April 8, 2017 by brennon
In a new video, the team behind Total War: Warhammer II has delved deeper into what's coming for the next instalment of this grand strategy game.
The focus this time around is going to be on the Lizardmen, High Elves and Dark Elves of the Old World. Of course, they will be heading West this time to the New World including Lustria, Ulthuan and Naggaroth.
Each of the armies is going to embrace a different way of fighting and the maps you'll be playing on will offer up new challenges as you battle it out with your foes.
A few changes have also been made to the cooperative experience and you'll now be able to conquer anywhere you see fit. You can check out the video for more information.
Let's hope that fourth race is the Skaven (seems pretty certain now) and they're not behind some pre-order bonus.
What do you think of the news on Total War: Warhammer II?

Very excited about it. Love the fact I can play my beloved dark elves! Hope i can build black arks to conquer the old world!
Notice how he specifically mentions “it is the second part of a trilogy” (!)
That kind of makes me want to wait until the trilogy is complete and we can buy everything as one.
It also kind of implies that the existing races won’t make it to this one, which kind of sucks.
As such it’s a new map with new armies instead of an extension of existing content.
Apparently both the second game and the first will connect. So that if you have both you can still play all the races, so you can invade the Old World with Dark Elves or Lizardmen, or invade Ulthuan with a Goblin Horde.

Sounds nice on paper, but I can’t help but wonder much the loading times will get even worse.
That sounds a little like they’re deciding it similarly to how Dark Crusade worked for 40k. However I hope they patch it in earlier rather than just waiting for the third instalment before they’re able to work together.
“… after launch of TWH2… ”
hmmm … that doesn’t sound too positive to be honest.
It also pretty much guarantees I’m waiting until it is actually patched in before purchasing anything.
It wouldn’t be the first time a feature was dropped even though it was ‘confirmed’ in interviews.
As much as I’d like to be positive past experience has rather tainted my view … and not in a good way.
may get this to get a dino T Rexing army.
