More Blood Spilling From The Champions Of Chaos For Warhammer!
March 13, 2015 by brennon
Games Workshop might have let slip the end of the End Times but that doesn't mean it's going to stop them putting out more characters for the end of Warhammer Fantasy as we know it. See what you think of Skarr Bloodwrath...
Not a bad villain for the tabletop although I would, like I said in the original leak, cut off the chains and just keep him with the two big axes. I like the mix of human and daemon here once again and although other people don't really like the look of these new Khorne units I am enjoying the plastic kits so far.
Have you checked out the end of Warhammer Fantasy?

It’s a GW starting rock to give you the edge over your blood thirsty competitors in that sprint for your foe. Oh dear I thought last weeks pre-orders were bad enough but this puts them to shame!
haha damn youre right 😛 looks the part
How do we fix it? I’m trying to imagine him without the axes, the topknot, chains, starting blocks, and skulls. You could put a rational weapon in his right… aw, forget it.
And I was wrong. I predicted $35 CAD, but he’s $36. Our dollar must have taken another hit.
Yes as always when the dollar goes down prices go up and when the dollar goes up prices go up. Hold on that doesn’t make sense… DAMN you GW!!!!
Just got an e-mail that said, “Wash Your Enemies Away in a Blood Tide.” At least the fluff matches the miniature. Thought it was a laundry soap ad at first.
Once last week were bad, this one is even worse.
GW are basically the reason why I haven’t bought a single fantasy miniature in over 20 years. It’s bad enough that’s GW produce this crap, it’s even worse that so many other companies then try to ape it.
That may have been true a few years back, but I don’t think anyone is trying to imitate their trends these days. That would be corporate suicide. I believe GW has switched over to toys to try and appeal to a younger market. But you’re right. It is disheartening.
Still lots of good fantasy mini’s out there, though! A shame you’ve given up on them.
Tell me that nobody is copying GW after you’ve shown me all of the great ranges of orcs that aren’t big, green with massive underbites. 🙂
Seriously, it’s very difficult to find a good, well supported range of fantasy miniatures that isn’t influenced in some way by GW’s style of fantasy. There are a small number, but I’ve yet to find one I actually like. That’s why I just have no interest in fantasy anymore.
When I do buy the odd bit of fantasy I go back to the older companies like Grenadier, Ral Partha etc
Grenadier orcs are great, got lots of them back in the day .. they look really good for being so small
Alkemy is pretty good, not seeing alot of GW influence there .. the minis are quite small but long ways better proportioned than GWs tiny He-man toys.
Imo the really bad aping is when 40k is being aped 🙂 so many ridiculous space knight refridgerator clad heroes available it actually makes sub par 40k stuff look good
Well, you’re not wrong there @erastus . It’s hard to find orcs that aren’t patterned as comic relief gits. KoW orcs are somewhat better, and I have a few hundred of them, but there’s no mistaking the pedigree. Shieldwolf are getting closer, although they still look brainless and maniacal imo. Scibor just put out a great orc figure, but the wolf he’s riding is questionable. Would be nice to see their take on orcs, on foot, in a unit. I’m in the same boat @torros . I like my old Grenadier and Ral Partha orcs, and still order them from… Read more »
