Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday Guys
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday.
Justin it’s time for you to man up & base your dwarven army along with the two dwarves down.
Two dwarves down is that the Warhammer version of black hawk down??
Justin: Base them!
What he said
What he said ^
you could make them like they are standing on stone tiles of a dungeon or something, that way they will be based and still pop up on a green mat
happy sunday !
Happy Sunday :D.
Base them Justin, I used to not base because I just couldn’t be bothered.. but I found once I started the minis actually started to pop way more, if you do it the paint on the miniatures tend to stand out more.
Happy Sunday. Base the Dwarfs!
Justin, just base them! 😉
The way I base my armypainter painted armies is putting pva on the base straight from the pot, spread it quickly with an old brush and then dip them in a large pot of static grass (the big ones that you get from trainstores etc). Once dry I quickly paint all the sides of the bases with black to get that clean crisp look. Then I add in some flower tufts from AP to add some detail. It’s relatively quick and adds a lot of character to your models, so go for it Justin! (It’s so effective my AP painted… Read more »
I do not “base” my infantry. My infantry are usually just A&A 15mm pre-paints with black circular bases and I just leave them like that. Ergo, I don’t even paint my infantry figures to begin with, so I definitely don’t worry about decorated bases. I like generic “black” bases because that way my figures look equally appropriate on different battlefields (desert, arctic, countryside, steppe, etc). And if I’m not going to paint/base them once, I sure as s*** ain’t doing it multiple times for different environments / climates. If Justin likes the miniatures the way they are, I say .… Read more »
@oriskany “I like generic “black” bases because that way my figures look equally appropriate on different battlefields (desert, arctic, countryside, steppe, etc).”
Originally, I had metal looking bases on the dust mini’s I was showing for this very reason.
But something about them just didn’t feel right/finished and as I said in the show I was tempted to leave them a flat colour, but in the end I just think they look cooler with some nice basing.
Happy (base them) Sunday!
Happy Sunday! Base those Dwarfs
HAPPY SUNDAY
Justin. It’s all about that base. ‘Bout that base. No rubble.
Re Roman. Apart from “how to base” keen to know tricks about eyes.
Spellcheck people. Omg … cards aganist humanity few.
I agree to base them also – they are well painted though! Really loved hearing about the laser cutters and 3d printers especially but i’d like to know more about the 3d Scanners. I wouldn’t mind scanning my hand-sculpted miniatures in and seeing if I can alter the poses and such (If that is even possible)
I’ve found my equivalent to @lloyd ‘s plinths… and it’s Lloyd himself!!!
Put it under the close cam and get your hand out of the shot… stop moving everything about a hundred times and turning and sliding and…. aaaaaargh. Put it in the shot, and maybe, just maybe turn it around once, ONCE…
Deep cleansing breath, deep cleansing breath…
And Justin, don’t let them bully you… your hobby, your army… just do as you please (and annoy the hell out of your mates 🙂 )
Base them.
Happy sunday!
Justin, base your army.
John is right about the looney toons effect.
Laser cutting is for production, 3D printing is for prototyping.
Have Romain paint something historical.
Well, that`s all I could think up.
Happy sunday.
Some colourful like a Pike and Shoote guys could be good for historical
Base hem
Defiantly base them. They look to incomplete and the work of a noob just because of that.
Base them properly, not just sand.
Base them Justin, it will enhance the look of your miniatures,
