Watch A Full Warhammer Hammer And Bolter Episode This Weekend
August 19, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop has announced that this weekend, for twenty-four hours only, you'll be able to watch one of the episodes of Hammer And Bolter coming to Warhammer+ at the end of this month.
Old Bale Eye // Warhammer - Hammer And Bolter
The episode, Old Bale Eye, will follow Commissar Yarrick and his clashes with the Orks of Warhammer 40,000. The interesting twist to this tale is that it is going to be told from the point of view of Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka and the Orks who see him as a "good enemy".

As I've mentioned in previous articles about Hammer And Bolter, I am totally on board with this particular art style. I think it works really well for the grimdarkness of the far future and allows the teams behind these animations to have some real fun when it comes to the over-the-top nature of Warhammer 40,000.
So, from Saturday 21st August you'll be able to watch Old Bale Eye and get a taste of what Warhammer+ has to offer. It will be interesting to see whether the rest of the Hammer And Bolter series will be available right away when Warhammer+ launches on 25th August or if we will be seeing episodes released weekly.
Are you going to be tuning in to watch Old Bale Eye this weekend?

I’m guessing if I don’t forget I will give it a look… if the servers are not up in flames or something XD
on one hand a nice marketing gimmick; on the other hand, when that one title is about 25% of your entire catalogue of shows it seems a crazy move!
It’s probably only 5 mins long so I doubt it will put too much of a strain on their servers.
Hopping for some good thing’s from G.W. with all the hype an lawyers flying around.
No.
Eh, I’ll wait until the pirated version is available on YouTube or Dailymotion and then give it a peek.
Watched the first half and thought it was awful. Not a whole lot of animation and a lot of still pictures.
Backgrounds have no movement even in the battle scenes.
If I had seen an advert in the middle for Mattel action figures I wouldn’t have been surprised
I didn’t get far into it. What a piece of crap!
If that’s their way of selling warhammer+ they’ll get no subscribers to it.
They put that out there as the best advert for a subscription service :p
Well that was hilariously bad (well, the first 4 and a half minutes, couldn’t watch any more than that it was just so bad) 🙂
four and a half minutes… you really persevered…
compare that to the quality of animation in Clone Wars and it’s laugable.
It’s like the old ‘Thor’ animation with a still picture and spinning hammer… the first ever disney animnation was a 1000 times better.
If this sneak peek is GW’s way of trying to entice me to pay to watch more of the same – sorry but it was an epic fail. The quality of the animation was very poor. The story poor. The characterisation limited. I have no interest in paying to watch stuff this bad.
I agree. For me it really suffered because I had just watched the Star Wars Visions trailer.
