Hunker Down In Warhammer 40K Battlezone Fronteris Terrain

Games Workshop has been showing off some new Sci-Fi terrain coming to the battlefields of Warhammer 40,000. You'll soon be able to pick up the new Battlezone Fronteris terrain which can be used to make all sorts of different (and useful) buildings for your troops to defend.

The terrain is designed around the idea of expanding and occupying frontier worlds throughout the Imperium and beyond. It does also work well with the expanding "season" of content from Games Workshop for Warzone Nachmund.
The set will feature an STC Hab-Bunker, Landing Pad, Vox-Antenna, Auspec Shrine and a selection of stockades and other defences for you to get behind when the shooting starts. Well, until a grenade or rocket comes flying overhead.
It looks like the set has been designed to be fairly modular with lots of options and accessories you can bolt onto them when you get the set.

There are plenty of, as they put it, gothic flourishes and skulls for you to play around with. The terrain that you see here will also have a gameplay impact. For example, some of the terrain pieces might be key objectives that you need to secure to fulfil your latest agenda from command. Others can allow you to "download propaganda" so that your combat attrition tests are easier to pass. Makes sense to use big Auspex Shrines to spread the good word of The Emperor.
It will be interesting to see how the terrain is bundled up from Games Workshop. They usually do a fairly good job price-wise with their terrain kits but we shall see how it shakes out.
Are you tempted to snap these up for your tabletops?

Depends on the price. The bunker looks generic enough to be used with other systems… once you get all the skulls removed…
I bought a dremel to make skull removal quick and easy 🙂
That’s not a statement you want to be taken out of context…. ?
I like these. Continues with the functional, robust design. The modularity between all these kits always for great options.
Ooh yeah nice terrain good to see they are doing catchup.
As seen on DOW,3. ?
I normally like the GW terrain, but not the pricing.
Not bad looking terrain.
Depending on the price, I wouldn’t mind picking a couple of these up. They’ve got the same chunkiness as the Sector Mechanicus sets.
