Warhammer 40,000 Regicide Coming To Steam Early Access May 5th
April 21, 2015 by brennon
Warhammer 40,000: Regicide takes the world of Chess and the Grim Dark Future and smashes it together in what's looking to be a neat use of the Sci-Fi licence. If you're interested in giving the game a look after watching the new trailer above then watch out for it in Early Access on Steam come May 5th...
Early Access promises a full single player campaign, new Chapters, new Ork Clans, and a host of other incentives and rewards for those that try this game out early and give the team help and feedback.
The Angels of Blood campaign follows the storyline from the trailer above with Guardsman Karthus and his fellow troopers garrisoned the Phaedrus Orbital Station above Hethgar Prime.
If nothing else that cinematic is incredibly well done and if you're thinking the voice is very familiar then you'd be right as it's Brian Dobson of Dawn of War fame.
Getting In Early
If you're interested in playing then you can register a game account HERE and then hopefully get access to the likes of the Blood Angels, White Scars, Goffs Clan and Bad Moon Clan throughout the games early access period.
Will you be checking this out?

Great video! It shows 0% of the game.
Well it is the introductory cinematic. They have shown off a gameplay trailer in the past which is here…

…which is like Chess with an additional phase to use actions (shooting, grenades etc)

:’D a 100$ iOS App in fancy HD skin. Wow, just wow.
Get mordheim while you can its 32 bucks on steam.
This is just another reason for GW to not make a proper 40k game.
Releasing a good isometric view 40k videogame these days is apparently heresy
I can’t think of anything more diametrically opposed than 40k and chess.
To be fair in the Horus heresy books IG play regicide all the time.
I’m gonna assume the cinematics are of your long distance regicide opponent and victories in single player expands his arc.
That’s what I’d do if I was Graham McNeill, which I am.
The cinematic is pretty awesome, the game on the other hand. Meh, I can easily do without.
I think Sty from Unit Lost says it best.

‘Cinematic’ isn’t that just another way of saying ‘bells and whistles’?
But now that you have seen it you can pre-order the pre-order for 100$
