Drake! We are leaving!
looks well, I think a stencil with crosses on it to show where the squares would come together lightly sprayed on in light yellow to give a kind of negative grid that’s been illuminated from above may work
Coming down with something dude?
nah, he’s fine … just wait if he survives breakfast 😉
??? Sorry dude the reference has gone completely over my head i’m afraid
I guess you haven’t seen Alien 😉

Great project – I’ll get started myself with my 3d printed version shortly.
the layout looks good John that colour will certainly make the figures stand out.
A grid for the floor… isn’t there a wallpaper for that? 😉
Finally got time to catch up on this, and the previous 4, still a newbie on MDF buildings, most I’ve built been Western or city blocks and have left them the original colour for that Chicago look, but that wouldnt work (or would it). Interesting problem the Space Hulk grid pattern , the tight layout being an integral to game, but you also want to allow a bit of freedom for other games. Like your idea on putting tiles down, but think it might be long winded for us mortals, and like @averos idea.
Is it a vault or is it an airlock – isn’t that what the whole warning sign is about? Speaking of which, since when does the Imperium have OSHA? ?
I’m sure they treat those signs as prayers to be uttered while praying to the machine spirit living within that door … 😉
Do you think you will go through so much paint because the mdf absorbs paint, or because there are so many pieces to prime?
That is a lot of of hulk! Would salt weathering help in making this take less time?
