Transport the Forces of the Mechanicum in Forge World’s Triaros!
September 12, 2014 by dracs
Forge World have come out with a new vehicle, the primary armoured transport vehicle of the Tech-Priests of Mars. It's time to ride to war in high tech style in the Triaros Armoured Conveyor!
The transport of choice for the Mechanicum Tagmata throughout the battles of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, the Trios is an all terrain transport vehicle. Armed with independently animated weapons servitors and protected by thick armour, layered techno-cant wardings and energy shields, it will take a lot for the enemy to break through to the troops it carries.
Forge World have created a unique look with this vehicle, explained as the Mechanicum apparently rejecting the usual STC designs and instead giving their vehicle a whole bunch of other technical goodies they don't share with the rest of the Imperium. It reminds me very much of a steam train, and that is always a good design choice in my books.
Are you going to hitch a lift in this Mechanicum transport?

Quite an improvement over the last eye sore to trundle out of Forge World, but at £85 I don’t see anyone buying a troop of them lol. But then again, they will charge what the market will bear, and it’s always good fun to watch that happen.
I’ll probably order three lol
It could be use for any steampunk game, specially Wild West Exodus!
ya remove the tracks and and add some small train wheels to make a steampunk locomotive very cool convertion opportunities
Flash Gordon meets Casey Jones and DUNE.
Intricate and visually interesting if ridiculous.
It’s cool, but not £85 cool, especially with the CDN dollar conversion at the moment.
It has great touches of Dune to it, particularly the prow thing at the front. It is very much 40K weird, but this is 40K weird done right.
With the mechanicum cult ditching the STC constructs the Chaos must have won taking over Mars plus the Foreword’s mankind are DOOOOOOMed.
Love the 40K battering ram but.
If its anything like the krios to assemble, it will be a right pig.
Someone over at forgeworld has had a real shot of imagination. Love the detail they’ve put into the power train. Not sure if it’s practical for getting shot at but the cool factor is too great to ignore.
