Games Workshop has been previewing a new entry into the world of Warhammer 40,000 and it introduces us to The Greater Good, the next book for the Psychic Awakening saga.

The newest book in the series brings in rules, background and more for the T'au Empire, the Astra Militarum, Ordo Tempestus and finally the deadly Genestealer Cults who have been forming their plans in the background for some time. According to the previews for this book, the storyline is going to test all of these factions!

As with the other books in the series, the book brings a new character into the mix. This time we focus on the deadly skills of Shadowsun, the leader of the Fifth Sphere Expansion and now suited and booted in her XV22 Stalker Battlesuit. She is armed with brutal weapons and followed by both an Advanced Guardian and Command-link Drone.

Shadowsun #1 - 40K

As well as this updated and much more dynamic model for Shadowsun (which looks rather nice indeed) you also have a few options in the kit. If you fancy showing off Shadowsun's face and making sure that her enemies know she is coming then you can take the helmet off too.

Shadowsun #2 - 40K

There is also a half-helmeted version of her head that you can throw into the mix which looks a little bit like a VR headset. I've always liked the characters beyond just the Ethereals amongst the T'au army and it's great to see Shadowsun getting herself a new figure.

We can only hope that soon enough we'll see them update the mysterious Commander Farsight who carries that eldritch blade. He was always my favourite of the T'au characters but I could never afford to build an army to match him!

The Cults Rise

As well as the addition of a new T'au character there is also a new Start Collecting Set for the Genestealer Cults.

Start Collecting Genestealer Cults - 40K

This set of rather awesome looking models would be pretty great for those looking to start off with a Kill Team perhaps but it also forms the basis of a good army too. You have a band of Acolytes in the set alongside Neophytes and an Achilles Ridgerunner. All of the models for the Genestealer Cult are a really awesome look at a more Oldhammer style for Warhammer 40,000 and it's probably why people enjoy tinkering with the range!

Additionally, you will also be able to pick up the gunslinging Kelermorph model too.

Kelermorph - 40K

If you weren't drawn to the awesomeness of the Hive Mind and the Genestealer Cults before then I would hope that you are now. As mentioned before I reckon that he would be a great focal point for a Kill Team but he also has plenty to offer on a larger battlefield too, tracking down those who deserve plugging full of bullets!

So, are you tempted to snap up these new pre-orders this weekend?
