Strike Hard With The Sicaran Arcus Tank By Forge World
July 12, 2017 by brennon
Coming soon for the Space Marines of the Warhammer 40,000 universe we have this new Sicaran Arcus Strike Tank by Forge World which looks like a combination of brutal weaponry and heavy armour.
Based on the premise of a Predator Tank this then brings into play some more hi-tech weaponry. Interestingly these tanks aren't liked by the Adeptus Mechanicus as they see them as a slight on the Omnissiah.
It hasn't stopped the Space Marines however who still stuck a Scorpius Missile Launcher on the top.
Well, that looks like it could do a lot of damage. This model will be out soon with rules for use in your games set during the Horus Heresy and the 41st Millenium.
What do you think of the design of this tank?

love the tank not keen for that turret.
Tank itself is really good but that turret not so much.
I love the Scorpius and I’ve fancied a Sicaran for a while – might pick this one up after I’ve built the landraider proteus.
So the heresy era vehicles will be usable in 40k 8th?
Yes, normally have the Relic keyword that stops them being spammed
Yes, I’m pretty sure the rule is now that you have to have at least half your force as non relic and you’re good to go.
Bloody hell I can use a Mastodon.
I love the way they say in the description that the platforms have degenerated and their hi-tech weapons replaced with more common rotary launchers. What were the hi-tech weapons that it used to have? And if it’s Heresy era, isn’t that BEFORE all the technological superstition took hold so why can’t we have those hi-tech weapons, or at least have a look at them?
I wish GW and Forgeworld would do something with the suspensions they put on their models. The Rhino chassis at least has room between the skirts and the road wheels to allow for flex in the track when going over obstacles. The rest, not so much. High tech, indeed.
Me too. It really kills my suspension of disbelief as I just can’t see these vehicles being able to get around the battlefield and do anything much at all.
The Sicaran is better than some – I really like most of the design – but I wish they’d give land raiders and Leman Russ tanks some ground clearance!
