The Stalwart Minka Lesk Joins The Fight In Warhammer 40,000
March 9, 2023 by brennon
Games Workshop has shown off a new 28mm miniature coming to their grimdark world of Warhammer 40,000. Previously at the forefront of many Black Library stories, Minka Lesk is ready to lead the fight for the Astra Militarum with a new miniature!

A former Cadian Whiteshield, Minka Lesk has survived astronomical odds and come out the other side. She defended her hometown from waves of Chaos forces and witnessed Abaddon utterly destroy Cadia. Whether by some diving luck gifted to her by The Emperor or her own hardy skills, Minka continues fighting at the forefront of whatever battlefield she finds herself on.
The miniature comes with options for giving her a power sword and wearing her bandana from Cadian Honour. You can also arm her with a lasgun and have her in the trenches alongside the rest of your Guardsmen.

As well as getting herself a new plastic miniature, this Black Library character is also getting new stories told about her in Shadow Of The Eighth and The Last Whiteshield. The Last Whiteshield collects together her previous stories into one place.

I think she's got an awesome miniature and it will be fun to see people running her and her fellow characters on the tabletop in games of Warhammer 40,000. I would love to see themed armies based around Lesk and perhaps a Kill Team or two.
Will you be picking up this new miniature for Minka Lesk?

That looks really good.
Beyond the mildly hilarious fact that neither of the two weapon loadouts she comes with are legal for a Cadian Shocktrooper Sgt (they are for either a Command Squad Veteran or a regular Infantry Sgt but she is very specifically Cadian…), it’s a pretty nice looking kit. GW still having some major issues with female faces, but I know I’ll be grabbing at least a couple of this mini. If nothing else there’s a Tona Criid conversion to be had for my Tanith project….
Though the figure was a man until i saw the book covers….! Also how heavy are bolt pistols…?
lol
