Space Wolves Clash With T’au In New Kill Team Set

Games Workshop is looking to get more folks stuck into Warhammer 40,000 with the addition of a new Kill Team Starter Set which pits Space Wolves against T'au Empire troops.

The set will feature the Fangs Of Ulfrich going up against Advance Team Starpulse deep within a Sector Mechanicus on some of this very nice looking plastic terrain. If you would like to get a better look at the models you can see them in this very heavy metal trailer below...
This does seem like another good introduction into the world of Warhammer 40,000, giving you two skirmishing forces for a pair of friends to play around with. I like the idea of two folks picking this up, getting stuck into either faction and telling a cool narrative tale along the way.
Everything about the game is the same, just to help answer some questions. The same rules are included but you just get a new option for beginning your time in the grimdark future.
Will you be diving in to check out Kill Team?

Still no PvE rules.
Maybe something that exists online somewhere and/or you could work on yourself as a homebrew project?
I agree. If it’s not included or exists…Do what I do. Make it up it doesn’t have to be perfect…as we all know, the fun us in the playi g and resting of the rules we make up.
I triple agree on homebrew rules. I’ve been meaning to write some up for Killteam, but I haven’t gotten around to it. I had an idea to use the old Tyranids (5th Edition, I think?) instinctual behaviors as a baseline structure for enemy behavior/reactions. Certain units would charge ahead to get into melee, and others would move to closest cover and shoot nearest enemy. Maybe have another category that either goes after objects or supports nearby friendly units.
Well that terrain is nice that’s for sure.
A great looking starters box for newstarts.
I know the T’au have had the apostrophe in their name for some time now, but every time I see it I can’t help but read it in a Yorkshire accent.
It’s the sound they make when they stub their toe
Nice looking starter set. Good to see Kill Team still getting the love
I don’t really think terrain-wise this set is as good as the previous one. I don’t mean the quality but the quantity – the mat looks pretty bare and that’s not enough to cover it, whereas the current set has terrain to spare.
Isn’t this skirmish game a little one-sided? Without their big guns and battlesuits for standoff shooting tactics, the Tau troops will get sliced and diced by space marines at close quarters.
This looks like a good set, but I agree that there could be a bit more terrain. I feel like the set needs like 3 more small pieces of terrain like barricades or walls. These would help with getting a bit more cover.
This is awesome ! I love the terrain so much
Those Tau look tiny … are we sure they’re not halflings ?
