Space Wolves Exclusives arrive at Games Workshop
July 30, 2014 by deltagamegirl22
Games Workshop has posted three new website exclusive Space Wolves miniatures. You can order these via the webstore and they are: Njal Stormcaller in Terminator Armour, Canis Wolfborn, and Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf .
Now these are some really good looking minitures and as I wrote this the Canis was already on backorder. Obviously, I am missing out on something as I am not a 40K player. However, for those who do play and have Space Wolves armies you might want to jump in on this before these exclusives are only a memory.
Will you be adding some Space Wolves muscle to your army?

I’m sure these are not new models?
I think they have just gone from general release to web store only. Most likely with a price increase to account for the fact you can’t walk into a GW store buy one and walk out with it anymore 😉
Aye yeah – they aren’t new models but the fact they’ve gone Webstore Exclusive is a bit of a bugger. It does however mean you WILL be seeing some new plastic kits coming out when the Codex launches to fill the gap I bet.
I thought they looked too good to be new releases, except for the top one. Hard to hold the reins with those claws without impaling your wolf… brilliant. Having said that, I wouldn’t mind one of those wolves as a mount for a fantasy hero.
That wolf on top looks like it belongs on the side of a can of beer. http://www.ladygreys.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/L%C3%B6wenbraeuLogo.jpg
These are all suspiciously old models.. one of which i’v head for years.
I think they’ve just taking them out of the shops etc and only sell them in the Webstore Exclusive i.e. not wroth the money. They may reappear back in stores at a future point in time,
Nothing to see, move along.
Bullet proof wolves .. impressive
There’s more than enough fluff around to protect them 🙂
Fluff? 😛 I was certain they were made of pine cones!
I don’t see Ragnar in the list….. does this mean after 20+ years we’re finally going to see a proper dynamically posed new mini? One an only hope
They can’t resculpt Raggy, the universe would explode if they did! O_O
Recycling WH40K style….
The concept of Space Marines is cool.
The concept of car-sized wolves is cool.
But, put them together, and you have something that looks like it should have a ‘growl’ button and legs that move backwards and forwards when you push them. Buying this as an adult I would have an extremely hard job persuading my other half that this anything other than children’s toy.
Something like this must surely have been designed by committee, and quite possibly the guys you used to see in the Orange adverts before a movie at the cinema started (if you remember those!)
Heard that the Canis character is not in the new codex, so must be looking for a few more sales before it goes…
That would tie in with the double-page spreads of the 5th edition boxset in White Dwarf, and articles about it, one month before 6th edition launched.
I think this is just a further part of the steps removing finecast from the stores as these will probably then be cast on demand rather than big stocks of them.
