Solar Auxilia Surgeon Primus Aevos Jovan & Medicae Orderlies Up For Pre-Order
May 1, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Solar Auxilia Surgeon Primus Aevos Jovan & Medicae Orderlies are now up for pre-order on the Forge World Website.
Now you can get some help with your wounded to get them right back in the fight. This set is described on the Forge World site as this:
"Once lauded for his brilliance as a healer and surgeon among the elite of the Imperial world of Agathon, unorthodox and illegal experimentation led to Aevos Jovan’s fall from grace. Presented with the choice of execution or service in the Solar Auxilia, Jovan took to the battlefield as a new theatre for his unmatched skill."
I too might choose the latter however, at times you must wonder if that wasn't the worse of the two? This is a beautiful set and the miniatures are very interesting indeed. The medical instruments have me very worried as to exactly how they would help those in need.
They look more like devices of torture instead of healing. If you are into your Horus Heresy then you just might want to add these to your list. There are also rules available for download so you can get these guys into the fight right away. This set will be available May 6.
What do you think of these?

Very cool minis, but 57£ .. just taste it. How can they keep pricing their stufflike this??
It is ridiculous, the models are nice though.
Oh man I love them. Wouldn’t take much to turn them into renegade militia
I am liking those a lot.
Another set of great models from Forge World that sadly come with an unnecessarily eye watering price point.
Models are great, prices are ridiculous (not in a good way) – it may as well be Forge World’s motto.
I do like the fact the guy with chainsaw has the other guys leg strewn across the floor.
I find it a bit disturbing that he has a chainsaw next to his head… on a Battlefield… Not like that’s an environment with sure footing…
Actually, if you think about it, he’s probably not in that much danger – if he trips the saw will go into the ground unlike the numerous warriors running around with chainswords who’d end up with it going into their faces when they trip, so he’s probably looking at a 70% chance to kill himself instead of a 90% ;P
They look amazing!
Way overpriced… nice minis though.
Very little add. The miniatures are gorgeous. The price? Well, you’re either prepared to pay it or you’re not.
It is just like the Imperium (even the slightly more ‘enlightened’ Crusade Era version, if you can call mass species genocide enlightened), to find a future version of Dr Mengler… and promptly give him a job as a battlefield medic…
nice.
Rather cool designs on these, very characterful stuff. Not quite sure they’re worth the 57 quid pricetag though, especially given how hit and miss FW’s casting quality is for infantry-sized models. Luckily they’re quite good at replacing stuff, still 57 pound will net you quite a lot of other hobby goodies these days.
