Interesting options for the Eldar are available from Forge World this week. Two types of Wraithknight have been added to the armour of the great war host and you can also grab the rules for them in Imperial Armour: The Doom Of Mymeara...

Wraithknights

First up we'll take a look at the two Wraithknights on offer with the Skathach Wraithknight with Inferno Lances being the first out of the door. These Wraithknights are a rare breed and guard the Eldar's ethereal realm from invaders...

SKATHACH WRAITHKNIGHT WITH INFERNO LANCES

"A refinement of the fusion weaponry of the Fire Dragons, the inferno lance is capable of burning through the armour of even the mightiest enemy war machine in a single, sustained burst of superheated particles and high-band radiation.

To make the best use of the inferno lance, they are usually equipped as a pair."

Using the same design of Wraithknight there is also a second weapon option for budding Eldar generals to consider. See what you make of this particular Knight weilding Deathshroud Cannons...

SKATHACH WRAITHKNIGHT WITH DEATHSHROUD CANNON"Skathach Wraithknights are often armed with a pair of deathshroud cannon. Similar to the armament of the Deathspinner grav tank, the deathshroud cannon projects a dense field of monofilament wire which leaves only unrecognisable gore in its wake.

The area affected can be adjusted for maximum coverage or increased lethality."

Well, that sounds disgusting. Awesome, but disgusting. Basically the Eldar have taken the weapons of their Aspect Warriors and turned them up to the maximum. I would not like to be on the wrong end of one of these.

The Doom Of Mymeara

As well as the Wraithknights you're going to need some rules and such as well as a campaign to play out. Forge World appear to be re-releasing The Doom Of Mymeara allowing you to play out the battles on the Imperial planet of Betalis III.

The Doom Of Mymeara

"Three massive Eldar war hosts attack the Imperial world of Betalis III. Their reason cannot be known but they must be stopped. Arrayed against them are the Cadian 6th Armoured Regiment of the Astra Militarum, Bran Redmaw’s Great Company of Space Wolves and Titans of the Legio Gryphonicus.

The Eldar may live to regret their incursion."

Will you be siding with the Eldar in this conflict or do you intend to stop their invasion?

Let us know in the comments...
