I am the very model of a future Major-General,
I’ve information Tyranid, Demiurg, and some Ur-Ghul,
I know the near dead Emperor, and I quote the fights historical,
From Abheilüng to Zhao-Arkhad, in order categorical.
@beetle
Haha..wonder who gets this. Splendid!
First thing I thought of when I saw the tank commander.
Is it from the light Operetta The Primach of Penzance?
I think you should gradually scaly the gold by unit type, So the most on the tank commander, then a little less on the cavalry, a little less on the artillery and finally the infantry, if possible depending on where you can do it on the minis.
Coming along nicely buddy
Love the red accents. Rather than straight up gold I would go a brass-y tone for the inf and then try to increase the goldidity (yes goldidity) as you go thru to the Gren/Cav to the officers/gentlemen as you wouldnt waste gold on the lower orders even in the 40k world!
Tank commander is awesome!
Coming together nicely. A quick thought on ensuring they look “sci-fi” is the bases. Grass/mud/snow and they may look too napoleonic. A dessert/Martian/jungle/lava type approach and they will look off worldly straight away.
Great work sir. Loving the scheme. Nice narrative behind them to explain the uniforms and weapons. The cannons are probably my favourite pieces at the moment. The commander looks great so far too. Are they getting some quickshade treatment towards the end?
Are you doing the turnbacks in red as well? The cuffs look nice as do the shoulder boards in the red, it certainly adds to break up the colour. The tank commander look great.
Do you plan on putting some red onto the tank somewhere, it would help tie it to the infantry even more?
its looking good with the red in all the units to mesh the army into one.
I’m back…lol…was i’ll…still not 100%…
Maybe for all the Inf/Cav around the reds on shoulders, line them off with gold???
Thought the tank was BLUE, but as normal after a few extra touches, you brought it out of the shadows and into the light. Nice job.
Must admit thought this army was a bridge too far for me, liked the idea but couldn’t see it…
Now then, have to swallow my words, dam good job their man, Dam Good Job John…
love to see your working progress, or should it be, work in progress…
Is it going to be an issue that the tank commander is more flashy than the overall force commander?
I would keep the gold for the commanders and leave the normal guys with silver. Like in modern armies.
But anyway great job on the tank commander. He’s looking really good so far.
Nice work
