Enjoy your hat themed holiday! The tank looks REALLY blue, but I’m sure that will change with some contrasting paneling work and weathering.
As a good German (you all know that we are allways complaining about everything 😉 ) I have to ask: Did you notice that the grenadier’s left leg’s red stripe is on the front and not on the side?
But anyway, I really like the blue. And I’m sure the tank will look awesome once it’s done.
John, Ultramar has called… They want their tank back 😉
Nothing like a Smurf Blue tank to make ones heart sing with Joy!
I know it wouldn’t fit the theme of the army, but that blue would be a lovely base for a camo, adding black and a little grey as the other colours.
Jawohl! Leutnant Löwen
Liking the blue a lot across the force and how you have broken it up by doing various elements of the clothing in different units. Still not a fan of the grey at all but will not mention that anymore. It looks like you have gone down the Confederate route from the American Civil War with the red stripe. I would suggest trying yellow with a white line undercoat to see how it looks. I think it may tie in better with the gold accents you will be adding later. As said above that tank it very blue but knowing… Read more »
Also sweet hat, which fish finger advert are you doing I will keep an eye out for it 🙂
It’s the one that lost out to its stronger competitors. 😉 😛
Love how it’s going. Keep it up!
The blue in the tank is damn sexy. More vehicles in this colour would be coo… no, awes… no… majestic!
Also was a resolution ever reached on the artillery crew being different scale models?
Yeah, I have new ones ordered 🙂
@mage he did buddy. John ordered some more models that are the same scale, 2 standard artillerymen and instead of the guy with the ramrod chose an officer to eat sandwiches while watching the crew aim and shoot.
love the tank john.
sorry I’ve been slow out the traps for the new year mate but i’m up to speed now. great decision to change out the artillery crews as well as not going OTT on the banners. the conversion work really came alive with the zenith. showed what a damn fine job you’ve done. when i saw the blue go down i felt it was a little too strong. once i’d seen it across the army though i was much happier with it. i’ll echo others though by saying it’s still a bit too much on the tank currently and needs breaking… Read more »
Once the tank has all the detail work done it’ll really shine, don’t worry 😉
in John we trust
Like the blue on troops. A little worrried about the blue tank, but we shall see.
Loving that blue!
