If you are modding the vox backpack, instead of lopping off the side, you could lop off the bottom (see linked pic) and replace the bottom with a bedroll as a nod to the miniatures origins.
I’m also looking forward to seeing the basing steps. That will be another place to bring more grimdark theme to the minis.
Totally agree with the bases. I will have to give them a lot more time than usual 🙂
First! no.. wait……Happy Sunday!! no that isn’t it either….
These guys look great together. This has really turned out better than I pictured back at the beginning. Great job on all of this!
“Happy john day” Is also an acceptable answer 😉
I am really pleased with how they turned out. Can’t wait to get some paint on them,
The proof will be in the pudding… or I mean painting!
Great job on those infantry figures. They are really looking the part now. Cant wait to see those poor chaps face an ork column.
Those grenadiers are looking ace John.
Looking great. Good job making them 40k looking.
Hey man I have been watching for a long time and I was thinking about doing a video response because those are always easier for me, BUT I heard you say priming and I thought I had to throw my two bob in there before. You spray and say forever hold your peace. So first off, “it’s 40k” is the reason you should answer to most stuff if people are uhhh no but, 40k is over the top, so I like the lances, I also like what you have done with the rifles. But there is one thing missing! Purity… Read more »
Hell of a comment!
Purity seals have been in my mind lately and I do agree with you that the tank needs proper devotion represented on it 🙂
I will be looking at purity seals, oath papers etc..
And I also agree on the bases. I have had quite a few comments on the bases which has only highlighted them more as an important factor to nail down the look and feel of the army 🙂
No probs man like I said a video comment is more my style ha ha 😀
Happy John Day. I really like the look of the infantry, especially the gun changes, they really make a big difference. The sword bayonets look the right length to me and although they are slightly chunky that is adding to their 40k-ness. I agree with your suggestions for changing the vox-casters. I think the bristle ariels will look amazing and tie them in to the tank nicely. Are you adding pennants to the ends of them? (Yes please 🙂 )
Keep up the good work. This has been an amazing project to follow. Thanks.
The tops of the hats are dying for a decal!
@johnlyons I did bring the black Templar banner if you want to try it for the company banner. I’ll have it with me when I stop by today.
Very nice conversions. Great job john.
Great work on the conversions john.
Looking grand!!
Wow! I love these guys! I was thinking you’d be using some old Vostroyan Guardsmen models as the base for these but no. You went for a completely independent miniatures firm. I’ll need to catch up with your previous vlogs regarding this project coz to my shame this is the first time I’ve checked in with you brilliant guys in years probably which is pretty unforgivable . You’re gonna be back on my daily check in list now though because BoW are such a great support network for my hobby needs. Thanks and belated merry crimbos to a you marvellous… Read more »
