New Primaris Space Marine Kits On The Way + Two More Codices
July 31, 2017 by brennon
Games Workshop is working their way through some new plastic kits for your Primaris Space Marines with the multi-part sets hitting their webstore this weekend. This means we're going to see more options for your Intercessors...
The kit comes with plenty of cool new ways to pose your Space Marines as well as a range of great looking heads without their helmets on. You can mix and match between Stalker Bolt Rifles and Assault Bolt Rifles with this set depending on how you want to approach the enemy, and of course dependent on the Chapter you're playing.
They also showed off the Hellblaster Squad that you'll be able to pick up too for when you need to burn through enemy armour.
With Plasma Incinerators and Heavy Plasma Incinerators to hand they are going to be turning most of their enemies into slag before they know what's hit them. I think this particular squad I'd keep them all with helmets on due to the intense heat from those guns. Maybe you'd get away with the mask for the leader too just to make him seem a bit more bad ass.
New Codices
In addition to the new models that are coming your way they also have the Chaos Space Marine...
...and the Grey Knight Codex hitting in short fashion. One of the big things they've mentioned about the new Codex for the Grey Knights, in particular, is that you can now mount a Grand Master in a Nemesis Dreadnought which just seems like the right thing to do.
So new models and new books are on the way for Warhammer 40,000 making a lot of power armour people very happy indeed I think. Are you tempted by what's coming down the pipeline?
Let us know in the comments below...

These releases are looking fantastic
I do like the new Primaris marines, they are certainly better than the flying brick lol.
You mean the Three-feet-above-Land Raider?
At least it solves their suspension problem …
They’re nice solid models; I might have found them more interesting had they been released before the Reivers and Aggressors from last week.
It’s nice to see more 10 man multi part Primaris squads.
Dear GW,
Can we have something other than Space marines ?
My wallet would thank you …
This seems like three marine codexes in a row, following a marine vs. marine battlebox.
I know that there are supposed to be one marine in the universe for every ten thousand guardsmen, but I think they got their ratio backwards.
CSM codex is exciting. Hopefully some new shiny plastic to go with it… or am I wishing for too much?
10-man hellblasters? bit overkill isn’t it? don’t get me wrong, it’s cool, but still…
You can surely never have too much plasma. Probably better splitting them into squads of 5 though.
ooh variety.
Looking good. Weapon options / variety was something i have wanted to see before i make the somewhat foolhardy decision about changing my SM army to the truer scale of the Primaris Marines. Still a ways to go though, but i’m happy with what’s appearing.
But those Grey Knights are dwarf marines!? They’re not the majesty that is Primaris! Will GW be resculpting the Grey Knights and GK Terminators into “Primaris Grey Knights?” With TWICE the daemon slaying power!? More tough and more bloods in order to bleed more and die less?
We can’t forget Primaris Chaos Marines, that codex will surely be fore the dwarf Chaos servants, we can’t have that! What would Abbadon do? (WWAD) I believe using the right WWAD! we can soak up all this power flowing fourth and make Primaris Orks too, since they’ll be runtier than da uvver boys!
Check out Scar-Face pose at the back. Reminds me of the cover of the first edition Epic Space Marine 🙂
When is there going to be anything xenos for all these newly drafted marines to fight…?
Necrons! Just saying….
Gimme a tau codex already . Or at least let me know how long it’s going to be so i can decide if xenos 2 is a good investment.
