Corvus Corax Will Be Swooping Into The Horus Heresy Soon
December 29, 2015 by brennon
Forge World, before Christmas, revealed a new look at their upcoming Primarch for the Horus Heresy Character Series. It's time to don your jump pack and swoop into battle with Corvus Corax who is shown blasting away his foe as he lands.
As well as that they have also revealed some interesting troops that are currently on the workbench too. Here we have a Space Marine from the Raven Guard (Corvus' Legion) which will no doubt be a new kit or accessory sprue to add to your army.
I really like the detail that has been worked into the lightning claws of this Space Marine and the additional wing detail added to the archaically designed jet packs of the Horus Heresy period.
Will you be turning to the Raven Guard?

Like that look of that a lot, really cant wait for the sanguinius primarch now, although i suspect he may be one of the last primarchs released in the series
The Marine with the claw goes look pretty nice! Not too keen on Corax. Nice base and pose.
You should check out some of the ‘Primarch’ minis that are out there – some beautiful versions floating about.
Corax looks ok, the beaky with lightninig claws looks amazing!
That looks amazing. Then again I have soft spot for winged jump packs.
Looks good, only thing I don’t like is the hair.
I quite like the hair, it’s an improvement on the horrendous bowl-cut he’s usually pictured with!
I like him but he’s not my favourite. This is a good thing because I’m really struggling to pick a legion. First I thought I was going to go Iron Hands, then as I read further into the Heresy I started to like the Imperial Fists but now I’m swaying towards the Salamander because I’m finding Vulkan a really likeable primarch.
Vulcan is my favourite as well, mostly because he is the most humane and decent of the Primarchs – where most of his brothers barely turn a hair when killing vast numbers of people in the name of the Imperial Truth, Vulcan struggles with the morality of killing anyone. As an example, in the novel Vulcan Lives he even feels bad about killing some Eldar Warlocks (even though they were kind of asking for it a bit at the time), which is practically unheard of among the paragons of xenophobia who make up the ranks of most of the other… Read more »
That terrible hair though……..
they look good not sure of the big vent thing on the backpack but.
I’m really liking the amount of movement in this piece, GW and FW have always been pretty good at this in the past and this diorama is no different. Also check out the plinth envy that poor Raven guard must be having, that is a pathetic rock compared to Corvus’ impressive one, far better to have nothing and model him just touching down. Still you can always bury it in green stuff and rubble mix!
Yikes…
I’ve always had a soft spot for 40k, even though I haven’t played it at all since I started painting and gaming again (although I did play it in the 90’s). The Forgeworld Horus Heresy characters are some of the best miniatures Games Workshop have produced and they also fit the bill as true collectors pieces. I just wish I had more time (and money) to indulge and truly do them justice if I did I would surely own all of the Primarchs by now. This one isn’t my favourite and like many people I’m waiting for some of the… Read more »
