Games Workshop will be taking pre-orders this weekend for the new Codex: Space Marines alongside a whole bunch of the new Warhammer 40,000 plastic kits for those bolstering a Primaris force.
Codex: Space Marines // Warhammer 40,000
Shop Warhammer 40,000 @ Store.OnTableTop
The new Codex: Space Marines follows in the alien footsteps of the Tyranid one and gives you the complete datasheets, detachment rules, background lore and more you'll need to play the Space Marines on the tabletop. You'll find Crusade content included for narrative games alongside seven detachments that allow you to play Codex-compliant Chapters like the Salamanders, Raven Guard, Imperial Fists and more.
The twist with the new detachments is that they aren't tied to a Chapter. Whilst they give you a vibe of one that would work well, they can be used with whatever army of Space Marines you're looking to build. So, you could make an army of Ultramarines that have a heavy focus on fast attack elements like Outriders and Jump Pack troops.
You can also get your hands on this Limited Edition version of the codex which shows a Librarian on the front, casting a psychic power against one of his foes.

There are just a few thousand copies of this so if you're looking to get your hands on it, you'll want to be quick off the mark come the weekend. It should be noted that the contents within haven't changed so you're not going to be missing out on anything bar the fancy look of the book.
Sticking with the mechanical bits and bobs for the Space Marines, you're also able to pick up the new Space Marine Dice & Datasheet Cards.

Some nice blue dice (for Ultramarine fans) are going to be able to snap up plus the Datasheet Cards which replace the ones that were released during the start of 10th Edition. You'll find all of the rules within for running existing units plus all the new miniatures that are coming out.
New Space Marine Characters
Leading the way, we have a bunch of new Space Marine character miniatures that can be attached to your various units to give them buffs on the tabletop. For example, the new Captain With Jump Pack is going to be very handy when looking to close the gap and make your enemies pay in close combat.

The Chaplain In Terminator Armour is also going to be very handy when it comes to bringing a bit of righteousness to the tabletop. I am a big fan of Chaplains in every guise and so I might end up picking up this fellow to slot him in alongside my Dark Angels. He seems like he's going to be eager to interrogate the foes of The Emperor.

Whilst it might be a bit of a meme now, you are also going to be able to get your hands on a customisable Lieutenant set that allows you to arm them in a variety of different ways.
Lieutenant // Warhammer 40,000
So, rather than being limited by what the single pose miniature has to offer, you can play around with different weapons like power weapons, power fits and more. You also get that bionic limb which is pretty neat to see as we've not seen much in the way of bionics with the Primaris so far.
New Space Marine Troops
Accompanying those heroes above into battle, we also have the Company Heroes set.
Company Heroes // Warhammer 40,000
This set represents some of the finest heroes in the Chapter that can act as a personal bodyguard for your characters. You have the Ancient with the Company Banner alongside a Company Champion who is ready to duel any enemy leaders should they dare to step into the heart of the fighting. You then have a set of Veterans offering ranged support and a new Captain miniature who comes with multiple options.
You can also get the new Terminator Squad which features upscaled Space Marines in the venerated armour of the Chapter.
Terminator Squad // Warhammer 40,000
They come armed with their classic storm bolters and power fists alongside heavy flamers and cyclone missile launchers. You can also slot in the likes of the chainfist if you want to carve your way inside a vehicle.
If you want a unit to use alongside the Captain above, you can also get your hands on the Jump Pack Intercessors this weekend.

Another update to a classic Space Marine kit. They come armed with the classic combo of bolt pistol and chainsword but the sergeant can play around with a hand flamer, plasma pistol, power sword and power fist depending on the job you want him to undertake on the battlefield.
Bringing all manner of combi-weapons into the mix, you can also pick up a set of Sternguard Veterans.
Sternguard Veteran Squad // Warhammer 40,000
They are proper specialists and very good at holding their own. This set also comes with the pyrecannon heavy weapon, the first time that this weapon has been seen as part of the Space Marine force.
Last but not least, we have the NERF gun specialists of the Chapter. You are going to be able to pick up a Desolation Squad separately this weekend, saturating the battlefield with heavy weapon fire.

Another of the miniatures that has been languishing since its boxed set release is the Brutalis Dreadnought. Thankfully, this miniature is now available for you to scoop up this weekend, giving you an absolutely brutal and destructive melee option.

Once again, this fellow might find his way into my Dark Angels force. I like the idea of getting up close and personal, tying up units and causing untold misery with those flamers. I reckon this could end up being a great way to update your Furioso Dreadnoughts if you were playing Blood Angels.
Last but not least, we have Combat Patrol Space Marines which takes the miniatures from the Leviathan boxed set and makes them available separately.
Combat Patrol - Space Marines // Warhammer 40,000
This set comes with five Terminators, five Infernus Marines, a Terminator Captain and a Terminator Librarian. I reckon that you're going to end up weathering even the most deadly of incoming fire with these fellows. Your real choice is what do you leave in Deep Strike and what do you drop right into the heart of the fighting?
Could you be tempted to snap up these new Space Marines?
