Take A Peek At The New Forge World Stuff At Warhammer World
May 16, 2015 by brennon
This weekend is Warhammer World's Grand Re-Opening so Games Workshop and Forge World are supplying quite the range of new stuff for you to check out. Here's some we've spotted on the internet so far...
Primarch & Captains
The first two models to take a look at are Roboute Guilliman and Sigismund for the Ultramarines and Black Templars respectively. You can see them below...
I think they're both looking fairly epic and while the Ultramarine Primarch is strutting his stuff I would have to say that Sigismund is quite the hero there as the First Captain. He might not be a Primarch but he rocks a lot more I'd say.
The colour scheme they've chosen for Roboute is decidedly better than it was looking before hand with the deeper blue making for a much richer model as a whole.
Knights & Titans
On the slightly larger side of things we have a rather impressive looking Chaos Knight Kit, a Conversion Kit for the Lord of Skulls and of course the main attraction, a Warlord Titan.
Another impressive collection of Epic walkers (sadly not IN Epic as it were) that would sit in pride of place on many a tabletop. I think it's really awesome to see that Forge World did what they did with the Lord of Skulls too.
We'll hopefully have more for you as things develop during the weekend!

i like the Guilliman sculpt (though that base is a bit excessive!) but the Sigismund mini looks to have very weird legs…
like the Chaos Knight and Warlord Titan though, very cool.
What’s up with that Sigismund guy? You’d think that if you were going to charge $60 for a single you could get the proportions right… guess it doesn’t matter. It will sell out anyway.
Its a nice model but he does have the little legs – still I know people like that.
He looks deformed actually, or maybe he’s wearing gangsta armour, halfway down his a**, like pants in the ‘hood.
£1240 for 2750 points of bad ass Titan… Probably cheaper than a normal HH army at £2750
I do like the titan, not a model I would buy but it looks nice – possibly a little squat.
As in short and stock not that race that shall not be named on 40k forums
Warlord just looks like a knight with bigger guns. Not a fan, I hate to say, I prefer the less squat boxy Epic looking style. Lord of skulls is cool, they apparently saw how many people where trying to convert it to a biped.
As much as I have the nerdy wow at first if I am to invest in anything other than the Deredeo and Xiphons from this new book (Assuming that the Ultrasmurfs don’t pull me in) it’ll likely be the Stormbird as that things rules look great and it’d be a nice way to do the Thunderhawk without the old casting stuff for that model.

the rules are brilliant, a super heavy flyer with 14, 13, 12 and 12hp will be great, I’m going to have to get the book as i’ve got all of them so far.
the stormbird looks good but when described I was picturing it in my head as more Vulcan bomber shaped or the TAU ship 32.
Love the Titan, though I’ll certainly never buy one. Now that I’ve seen this I have say that the reaver is looking a little dated in comparison. Both GW’s and FW’s knights are superb and brimming with detail and this new Titan matches them in quality, leaving the old FW Titans looking bland and lacking in detail I’m afraid.
The chaos knight is fantastic but alas poor Sigismund. Unfortunately all marine minis are too short and have tiny legs and massive arms. That’s why I make my own 🙂
I’m soooo getting one! Would of got one today if id bothered getting a ticket lol.
They sold out in six minutes .
At last a picture with someone behind and so to the drawings and scratch building table. Budget tops £30, will act as a room guard fit a PIR into it coupled to the old PLC to drive it and a converted shad alarm to turn it off if triggered. Ok call it £37 max. Well I know what I’m doing the rest of the summer autumn. Saving £1203 retires to make tea, Bwaa-har-har-harrrr!. Engage mad laugh mode.
This looks like a melding of the original plastic Adeptus Titanicus Warlord and the more rectilinear Epic version. I like the look but not my thing any more.
from what i gather in some of the bits floating around in facebook groups that shot does let Sigismund down and his legs aren’t how they look at that angle. Apparently there was a painted up version that looked astounding. I think there are some on the battlebunnies blog. Worth a nosey to give you a better idea of the pose.
I went along with the family. Well the Mrs. stayed in the hotel and swam n sauna’d. The displays are amazing, truly epic. The camera on my phone was on the fritz so don’t have any pics, but the Imperial Guard Miliatary March display was fantastic. As was the final room with a quite astonishing display of Chaos vs. Ultramarines, the new Warlord Titan looked tiny- it is that big!
For a tenner it was a really good day out. I recommend if you’re nearby to go in and have a look.
The main power stacks on the Warlord are too big, and the shoulder mounted weapons are larger than the arm mounted ones, specially with the added armor.
The arm mounted weapons should always be larger than the shoulder mounts. That “Kinght” Warlord looks a bit off and naff honestly.
The Sigismund model suffers from scale issues with his legs, waist and tabard length/size.
Looks like a 3rd party sculpt with the flat 2-dimensional sword, and this is coming from a huge forgeworld fan who’s only anger is when I can’t collect everything because it goes OOP.
Warlord is a bit of a let down. Was hoping for something more like the old epic model.
Chaos knight looks cool though.
Chaos players everywhere should be happy about the Chaos Knight kit and the fact that it is now possible to use Forgeworld bits to makle the Lord of Skulls they way it probably should always have been. Guilliman and Sigismund are both very nice models, though the angle here really isn’t doing Sigismund any favours. From other angles the model looks much better. The Warlord is just as bonkers as I expected, costing a frightening amnount both in terms of points and pounds, but offering insane levels of tabletop power in return. Though, like number32, I think that the Stormbird… Read more »
painted Sigi here 🙂

Laughable from every angle.
Sigismund is an amazing miniature, really epic, Girlyman is ok too, although lacks a certain something.
The warlord is out of this world awesome.
Love Roboute don’t think I will do the stand justice, & the titan looks ace.
Sigismund looks fairly epic. That conversion for the Lord of Skulls is what it should have been form the very start.
Was there all day yesterday , they had six Titans for sale yesterday and they sold out in six minutes of opening the doors , not a mistake it six minutes is all it took . One of the best thing I saw was the new forge world paints designed for Horus heresey and are air brush ready with more to come. The most impressive things though was the new exibition hall ,took over 400 photos and still didn’t capture anywhere near the scope and breadth of the displays .well worth a visit . The main display between ultra marines… Read more »
Was a great day. The exhibition areas were impressive, I’d definitely spaff £7.50 for all day access. Will be going back to have a more chilled look around in a couple of weeks when I get some time off.
Didn’t get down for the “Re-opening” going to pop down when the madness is over….seemed like a great day though, The titan model looks the dogs and one day maybe mine (in my Dreams) although the new yet to be released Thunderhawk lookalike will be more affordable/viable option for my plans.
I was looking at some fb pages and they were saying they are charging £7.50 just to go into a hall just look at some painted minis. Is that correct?
I normally bash GW mercilessly for price gouging but £7.50 is really not unreasonable judging by what people are saying about the displays and how much a pint or cinema tickets costs as tresilliian pointed out
Me and the Mrs wanted to go to Leeds Castle the other day and that would have cost us £50 to get in
You could see more, and better-painted figures, for nothing in half an hour on Pinterest, and spend the £7.50 on beer to drink while you’re surfing instead :-). A new low for GW: charging £7.50 for absolutely nothing… and what’s worse is that they found people to pay it.
Truue but there is something nice about seeing minis in the flesh so to speak and I’m sure I would get £7.50s worth of enjoyment looking around those dioramas.
Each to their own of course 🙂
Yes it is £7.50 to view the room. Which equates to a couple of pints or a matinee cinema ticket. if it were one room frankly I’d say not to bother. But this is 6 rooms and the displays are quite spectacular, I am not sure if they do a family ticket or if kids are free, frankly they ought to but it’s GW so they probably don’t/won’t. That gripe aside I do feel it’s worth a visit, my son was running about for nearly an hour looking at everything – obviously he wants to own it all which is… Read more »
Your son and a lot of adults were running around in there wanting to own it all. Me included.
