Games Workshop Opening Warhammer Cafe In Grapevine, Texas
February 8, 2018 by brennon
We heard that Games Workshop was opening their first Warhammer Cafe over in the US last week, and now we know where it's going to be! Grapevine, Texas is the proposed site...
Situated near to travel links and such, it should prove to be a hub for Games Workshop fans wanting to play some games, eat some grub and more.
Was anyone else hoping they'd freak people out by changing the image above around and putting the woman in the Space Marine armour? That would have been quite hilarious indeed...
Sounds like it should be an interesting endeavour. I was thinking as to why they hadn't done something like this in the UK first...and then I remembered that Warhammer World exists. This could be a neat new place to go and play your games over in the US!
What do you think of the news?

Considering that Japan has things like Gundam cafe and Square-Enix cafe, GW one in USA does make sense.
How long before bugman’s beer is for sale their.
Would not be a bad idea for all Warhammer stores to move to cafes
One or 2 cafés for each state
Considering all my family lives in Texas now. This will be a great place for a destination when visiting.
“Damnit Daren, I told you to keep your coffee away from the minis!”
So- will it be a GW store that also serves coffee? Or will it be a coffee shop with minis on display?
Game Cafes have started happening in the US (they’re not big in most places iyet). The business model I’ve seen is “rent a game while you eat.” I think GW games aren’t really ideal for that (long play time, large table space, two players, breakable minis etc.)
But, hey- that’s not a reason to try it- it could be very awesome.
Whatever happened to Baltimore, MD? Is that still GW’s USA headquarters?
I’m glad for Texas, but I’m East Coast. Baltimore is 4-5 hour drive, but doable. Texas not so much. :-\
looks like i have a road trip to plan.
