Nurgle’s Deathshroud Terminators & New Codex This Week For 40K
September 12, 2017 by brennon
Building on the massing legions for Nurgle and the Death Guard we have a new unit on the way to the webstore this weekend thanks to Games Workshop for Warhammer 40,000.
Here we have the Deathshroud Terminators who have been somewhat updated from their time during the Horus Heresy with some hideous mutations. However, they still retain their trademark scythes as weapons of choice.
They are the heavily armoured and armed bodyguards for your characters, maybe Mortarion in this case. They are no slouch in combat, being veterans of many a campaign, with three strength eight attacks to their name and a sickening -3 AP on the ends of those weapons.
They even have a special rule for leaping in the way of danger to save characters. With a 2+ save and two wounds, they won't be going down easy.
New Codex
In addition to new models for the Death Guard, we also have a new codex for the Adeptus Mechanicus coming this weekend.
Belisarius Cawl will be available separately now for the first time since his original release and you will find inside updated rules for playing as these Martian mechanics and tinkerers on the tabletop. I'm sure it will be just as interesting as tome of knowledge as the others have been.
Will you be picking up some new models or a new army for Warhammer 40,000?

Those Terminators are actually rather good.
Interesting enough releasing Belisarius Cawl separately leaves Roboute Guilliman only model so far from Triumvirate sets not released separately with release of Codex that has him. We shall see if there are going to be any others from any of Triumvirate sets that won’t get separate release like Roboute Guilliman when they Codices are released.
Son is saving up for the Deathshroud. Hopefully we will see Guilliman soon separate, I wouldn’t mind picking him up at some point.
@endofdreams I have seen Guilliman on auction sites for around $40 so he is not “undoable” price-wise.
Admittedly I have not looked too far yet. That isn’t too bad.
Deathshroud look cool. Very much a Nurglish representation of their 30K selves (OK they have slightly different armour design but who cares when they have tentacles?).
Hope there’s a replacement head for the bare headed guy though. Never been much of a fan of bare headed marines.
i agree about that bare head- he looks a bit clean for ten millennia of disease and putrefaction. Much rather have the mystery of what horrific face might be hiding behind the armour.
way better than mothman I think.?
Love the minis, price not so much. Would hope it has a range of customisation items.
