New Warhammer 40,000 Animation Teased For Prime’s “Secret Level”

This week saw a trailer reveal for Amazon Prime Video's Secret Level animation project. The project, from the creators of Love, Death + Robots, draws inspiration from some of the biggest and best video games and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is amongst those that will get a new animation as part of this anthology.

Secret Level Preview #1 - Warhammer 40000

The Warhammer Studio worked with the animation studio Blur to bring this story to life. It will follow Titus and his battle brothers in a "secret level" story that is set against the backdrop of the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 video game and Titus' initial adventures.

There are only a few snippets of the animation in the trailer (above) but it seems to show Titus and his Ultramarines battling Tyranids in the darkness and then later, absolutely destroying what could well be a Genestealer Cults vehicle. Why bother using your weapons when you can just run through your enemy?

Clive Standen will be making a return as Titus after taking on the voice acting role in Space Marine 2. Rumours are we might also hear some other famous voices on the cast.

Importantly, this animation coming from Blur and appearing as part of the Secret Level anthology is not part of the additional Warhammer TV and film projects that Games Workshop are working on with Amazon. Henry Cavill still has a bit of convincing to do behind the scenes I imagine before his vision comes to life.

Will you be keeping an eye out for this animation come 10th December 2024?
