New Drukhari & Battle Sisters Boxed Set For Warhammer 40,000!
December 28, 2020 by brennon
Games Workshop has been previewing some of the new Warhammer 40,000 options coming to the tabletop in 2021. This weekend they showed off their new Boxed Set called Piety & Pain which brings together the Drukhari (Dark Eldar) and Adepta Sororitas (Sisters Of Battle).

This new set brings together a miniature that was previewed towards the start of the year and also something brand new too. Leading the way for the Adepta Sororitas we have the new Palantine miniature at the forefront but we also have her going up against a new miniature for Lelith Hesperax.
Lelith Hesperax & Palantine // Warhammer 40,000
She has been given a new lithe and deadly miniature who is leaping into battle from a big ol' piece of terrain. You can't have a Space Elf in your games unless they're launching themselves from fallen masonry right? The miniature is looking rather cool though, especially with the slain Iyanden warrior beneath her.

As you can see, the set comes with a bunch of miniatures to get you started. Both sides get a set of troops to help bulk up your force or maybe start out in Warhammer 40,000 plus there are vehicles in the set too. The Drukhari miniatures in the set still look very cool indeed as grimdark corsairs of the stars. This provides you with a nice contrast when they are compared to the power armoured and pious sisters.
This set seems a little more elite in terms of the miniature offerings, especially for the Adepta Sororitas, but it could make for a nice next step if you've already considered these armies. You could split it with a friend too maybe!
What do you make of the new Piety & Pain set?

Orks? ORKS?!
Humbug!
Both new models look really good and over all as whole this boxed set looks tempting. Then again I am also just happy that Palantine got her own model.
Based on the Arnold Rimmer haircuts theory of warfare I’m betting on the Sisters for the win.
I’m toying with the idea of collecting a sisters army and painting their hair purple to look like Hit Girl from Kickass.
I considered the box briefly, but when I looked at contents decided against it.
I have all the Drukari including Lelith, so don’t need that.
And really hate the sisters stupid looking tank.
I agree with you about that tank. Is this games workshop’s idea of pimp my car? Or in this case pimp my rhino. It looks busier than a bishop’s hat.
To be honest, with the amount of fantasy figures I’ve been painting over the holidays, this box could make for a good project and pallet cleanser. Been wanting to start sisters for aaages and a few extra Dark Eldar figures won’t do any harm…
Good to see the battle sister’s getting more attention.
true … but why do the Dark Eldar only get one new model in that entire kit ?
I wish GW would refresh both armies in those boxed sets instead of just the one.
Pass.
I guess Lelith must have a serious problem finding foot ware wide enough: I had to count the number of her toes on those gunboats. I figure that the Sisters just have to bring some glass chalices to shatter in her path and then nuke her until she glows.
