Games Workshop has been previewing some of the new Warhammer 40,000 options coming to the tabletop in 2021. This weekend they showed off their new Boxed Set called Piety & Pain which brings together the Drukhari (Dark Eldar) and Adepta Sororitas (Sisters Of Battle).

This new set brings together a miniature that was previewed towards the start of the year and also something brand new too. Leading the way for the Adepta Sororitas we have the new Palantine miniature at the forefront but we also have her going up against a new miniature for Lelith Hesperax.

She has been given a new lithe and deadly miniature who is leaping into battle from a big ol' piece of terrain. You can't have a Space Elf in your games unless they're launching themselves from fallen masonry right? The miniature is looking rather cool though, especially with the slain Iyanden warrior beneath her.

As you can see, the set comes with a bunch of miniatures to get you started. Both sides get a set of troops to help bulk up your force or maybe start out in Warhammer 40,000 plus there are vehicles in the set too. The Drukhari miniatures in the set still look very cool indeed as grimdark corsairs of the stars. This provides you with a nice contrast when they are compared to the power armoured and pious sisters.

This set seems a little more elite in terms of the miniature offerings, especially for the Adepta Sororitas, but it could make for a nice next step if you've already considered these armies. You could split it with a friend too maybe!

What do you make of the new Piety & Pain set?
