The Dark Angels weren't to be left out of Games Workshop's festivities over the Christmas period. New miniatures and more were previewed for these Space Marines from Warhammer 40,000 including the return of a big character who has been given quite the upgrade!

This updated miniature for the mighty Belial and Master Of The Deathwing looks suitably intimidating. The look and feel of the miniature is spot on, armed with his Storm Bolter and with the Sword Of Silence in hand. With his cloak billowing in the wind, you have quite the dynamic leader for your Terminators.

You can also build him with his hood down so that all of his enemies can see their doom coming. Joining Belial, we also have the Inner Circle Companions which continue the Dark Angels penchant for mystery and secrets.

These warriors have appeared to fight alongside the likes of Lion El’Jonson but also many more of the mighty heroes from the Chapter. Captains, Librarians and even the likes of Asmodai have been joined by these robed warriors and their Calibanite Greatswords. They fight in utter silence apart from the hum of their power armour and the occasional encrypted message. They look super cool and could well be where those forgiven by The Lion find themselves fighting. I could see some fun conversions coming together using these kits for the likes of the Black Templars and even some Stormcast Eternals.

In good news for those wanting to theme your Chapter to be even more Dark Angel-ish, there is a new Upgrade Set coming out. This features specific head, weapon, body and accessory options for the different units in your army. Yes, that's a Plasma Cannon for your Terminators.

The set can be used alongside your regular Primaris Space Marines and Terminators and you'll also note that it comes with a Watcher In The Dark which could be used as a fun, themed objective marker.

If these new miniatures have caught your eye then you might be tempted by the new Army Set coming out for the Dark Angels soon. This will give you a pretty hefty array of Terminators to use when building your Deathwing force alongside the specific Deathwing Knights.

The full contents of the set include Belial, Deathwing Knights, ten Deathwing Terminators and two full Dark Angels Upgrade sets. You also get loads of Dataslate Cards and a full, exclusive Codex for the Dark Angels. A good, elite force that should give you plenty to be getting on with when it comes to building a themed army for the Dark Angels.
