Games Workshop are going to be taking pre-orders for the newest Arks Of Omen book this weekend. Warhammer 40,000's unfolding story continues with Vashtorr besieging The Rock and battling against the forces of the Dark Angels on their home turf.

The third book in the Arks Of Omen series sees Vashtorr battling on The Rock searching for one of the components that can be used in his nefarious plans. Obviously, the Dark Angels aren't particularly happy about that and are going to be going on the assault whilst another mysterious character joins the story.

The Rock Beiseiged is a Boarding Actions campaign spread over eight narrative missions, telling the story of tight and brutal battles on the confines of The Rock. You'll also find additional Boarding Action rules for Chaos Daemons, Necrons, Tyranids, Genestealer Cults, Deathguard and the Adeptus Mechanicus.

You might find the new forces for playing out said Boarding Actions in the new boxed set, Wrath Of The Soul Forge King.

This will your first chance to get your hands on the new plastic miniatures for Vashtorr The Arkifane and Supreme Grand Master Azrael. Both have nice new plastic miniatures with Azrael crossing the Rubicon Primaris and Vashtorr manifesting himself within real space using the blood of many sacrifices.

The set also comes with a Venomcrawler, two Obliterators and ten Cultists supporting Vashtorr then ten Intercessors plus five Deathwing Terminators making up Azrael's bodyguard. You also get two Dark Angels Primaris Upgrade sprues which can be used to turn your Space Marines into followers of The Lion.

It seems like these might work well as starter offerings for diving into Boarding Action games which would be handy with that new book landing at the same time. Both plastic miniatures for Vashtorr and Azrael will be available later on down the line though so you can always wait and see rather than diving in now.
