Last week, Games Workshop revealed that they have actually been paying attention. The grimdark future of Warhammer 40,000 is soon to be graced by the Beast Snaggas as a new breed of Ork fights its way onto the battlefield.

This set above is going to be the fancy new boxed offering from Games Workshop when the Beast Snagga Orks hit their store. The set will feature a bunch of new Beast Snagga themed Boyz who are ready to kick ass and take names alongside some quirky new mounted units which build on that unique feel to the army.

Beast Snagga Orks Interview // Warhammer 40,000

Much like other Ork clans, the Beast Snagga Orks are all drawn together because of their love of hunting down the biggest and baddest prey in the galaxy. This means they fashion weapons and use those mighty Squighogs; all honed to the task of kicking the ass of big monsters and perhaps an Imperial Knight or two.

They are also heavily cybernetically enhanced because fighting massive creatures and constructs is often a hazardous endeavour. Many a Beast Snagga has also lost his hand when caring for his mount! I wouldn't want to be the one who has to feed a Squighog.

All of the miniatures that you see here are going to be viable as their own unique force or when combined into a larger Ork army. The new Codex, which comes in the set mentioned above, will feature all of the information on the new Beast Snaggas plus ways for you to use your Greenskins on the tabletop as a competent Waaaaaagh!

You'll also note the return of a classic Ork miniature from the distant past who has returned in plastic. Say hello to the wild-haired Zodgrod Wortsnagga.

This fellow might be the bane and saviour of Gretchin kind. He might look mad, and many Orks consider him so, but he actually believes that those little runts can be used for something other than carrying ammo and reloading Ork guns!

The First Of Many Orks!

Whilst the Beast Snaggas are looking rather good, this is just half of the new releases coming out for the Orks over the coming months. We're also going to be seeing updates throughout the range including new leaders like the Warboss In Mega Armour.

It's almost enough to get you thinking about making a new Ork army. I really like the look and feel of the new Orks from Games Workshop. Warren wanted angry-looking killers and I think he's going to get them. I'd say all of these new Orks look like they would rip your face off if you looked funny at them.

Are you tempted to pick up the new Army Set when it hits or will you wait for the general release of the new Beast Snaggas and Orks?
