October 24, 2023 by brennon
Games Workshop have now revealed their new Battlesforces that will be available over the festive period for both Warhammer Age Of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. These bundles tend to give you a decent saving on the miniatures included and could well be a good way to start a new army or build on an existing one.
Primordial Starhost // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar

The first of the sets that was previewed was for the Seraphon of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. This set comes with a Slann Starmaster, Saurus Warriors and a band of burly Kroxigors. You also get three of the Aggradon Lancers and the sneaky Hunters Of Huanchi who could do some ambushing from the flanks.
Perhaps you'll also be tempted by the coming of the Ossiarch Bonereapers!
Praetorian Spearhead // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
This set of miniatures can be led by Arch-Kavalos Zandtos or you can make the miniature as the regular Liege-Kavalos instead. Additional miniatures in this set include the Kavalos Deathriders, Mortek Guard, a Gothizzar Harvester and four Morghast Archai.
Sticking with the theme of Grand Alliance Death, you can also pick up the Vengorian Court.
Vengorian Court // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
This bloodthirsty and bone-rattling horde comes with the monstrous Vengorian Lord at the heart of it who can also be built as Lauka Vai, Mother Of Nightmares. The additional miniatures include five Blood Knights, twenty Deathrattle Skeletons, ten Dire Wolves and three Fell Bats.
Last but not least for The Mortal Realms, you can also get yourself the forces of Chaos in all their ruinous glory.
Warhorde Of Eternus // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
The Warhorde Of Eternus can be built so that it serves Be’lakor or Archaon depending on which miniature you choose to lead it. You could always build Eternus, Blade Of The First Prince or you could just make a generic Chaos Lord On Daemonic Mount and carve out your own story in The Mortal Realms. Your leader is then joined by Ogroid Theridons, Chaos Knights, Chaos Chosen and ten Chaos Warriors.
Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces
If you prefer the Grimdark Future to The Mortal Realms then you will be glad to know that you can snag yourself a whole host of Battleforces for Warhammer 40,000 too.
Defenders Of The Ancestors // Warhammer 40,000
Shop Warhammer 40,000 @ Store.OnTableTop
Leading the way is the new set for the Leagues Of Votann which collects together an Einhyr Champion and a set of Einhyr Hearthguard. You'll also get the Hekaton Land Fortress, a Grimnyr and a Sagitaur ATV. An interesting set that certainly hones in on the more elite side of the Leagues Of Votann.
If you wanted to set loose a greenskin horde then you've also got this impressive band of Beast Snaggas!
Beast Snagga Stampede // Warhammer 40,000
You can lead this horde with the legendary Mozrog Skragbad or a regular Beastboss on Squigosaur. You'll also get Squighog Boyz and a Nob On Smasha Squig plus a Painboss Medic and ten Beast Snagga Boyz. All of this is then topped off with a Kill Rig which can also be built as a Hunta Rig with a Wurrboy.
The Cadians are not to be deterred from fighting on despite the death of their world either.
Cadian Defence Force // Warhammer 40,000
This set comes with twenty Cadian Shock Troops and a five-man Cadian Command Squad. You then get two, yes two, Rogal Dorn Battle Tanks that are going to make your opponent's life a living hell as all of those guns blast holes in their ranks.
Maybe you're in the mood to make a White Scars Space Marine army?
Spearhead Force // Warhammer 40,000
The Spearhead Force comes with fifteen of the new Jump Pack Intercessors plus a Captain With Jump Pack. You also get three Outriders and an Invader ATV which can offer up some bonus firepower to aid you. A solid force that could punch a hole through the enemy lines and take objectives with ease.
Not to be outdone, the Tyranids are also showing off some of their new miniatures too.
Onslaught Swarm // Warhammer 40,000
This set comes with a HUGE Norn Emissary and you also get a Winged Hive Tyrant to crush your foes. The Hive Tyrant can also be built on foot or as a Swarmlord if you prefer. You'll also get a set of Hormagaunts and Genstealers plus Ripper Swarms to nibble at some kneecaps.
Last but not least, we have the Red Angel himself descending on the battlefield to split skulls.
Exalted Of The Red Angel // Warhammer 40,000
This set comes with Angron, Daemon Primarch Of Khorne as well as ten Khorne Berserkers, and six Exalted Eightbound/Eightbound. All of these brutal killers could give you a great way for smash through your enemies in close combat and perhaps claim some skulls for the Blood God.

Heaven help me I’m tempted by the Angron box. If anyone wants me I’ll be deleting all my GW hate comments on here.
it’s just plastic @somegeezer … just bits of plastic. Stay strong!
The FOMO. It’s! So! Powerful!
stay vigilant brother!
I’m tempted by far to many of those 40k boxes, the shiny syndrome is kicking in. I can hear my wallet crying for Help!
I’m liking the defence force, Mone the Guard.
