The Mechanicum Ursarax Slice & Dice From Forge World
July 2, 2016 by brennon
Forge World are rejoining the ranks of the Adeptus Mechanicus this week as they show off the Mechanicum Ursarax who will be stomping forward to slice and dice you with their cruel looking claws...
"Like the Thallax, Ursarax are thralls rather than servitors. Selected from suitable human candidates for conversion, their living components retain a consciousness and dim recollection of their former humanity, providing them with superior tactical abilities and the instincts to kill.
Each Ursarax’s frame is outfitted with a powerful, chest mounted Volkite Incinerator - a weapon deadly at range, but decidedly lethal in close combat – and pairs of armour crushing power fists or flesh shredding lightning claws."
They are a brutal looking unit with some dangerous lightning claws at their disposal.
These are some great looking models and as well as the power fists and lighting claws they also have that Iron Man-esque cannon stuck in their chest. I would love to see someone do a diorama using these, laying waste to some Chaos scum who have decided to try and take them on.
What do you think?

I don’t think there is a weak model in the Heresy Mechanicum line.
True, its probably FWs best line.
Looks like FW is losing it too. Looks like something from the Power Rangers.
I kinda like those.
So…They have a chest mounted energy beam weapon, how long before someone paints some of them in a Hotrod Red & Gold colour scheme 🙂
borg? imperial suicide troops.
Why do they have a Merlin jet engine strapped to their backs?
I prefer the hooked lightning claws to the power fists – the cruel looking shape of them fits with the really rather unpleasant fluff surrounding how these things are constructed in the background, a process that leaves them more than a bit unhinged and with an appetite for payback that isn’t very fussy about its target.
