Magnus The Red Pops Up Online In Leak For Warhammer 40,000
October 10, 2016 by brennon
It looks like we're getting more looks ahead to how the Thousand Sons are shaping up in Warhammer 40,000 and of course The Horus Heresy. HERE we have a leaked image of what the new Magnus The Red is going to look like...
While some people have called 'fake' I think that this might be a legit picture of how Magnus is shaping up for the future. He certainly looks impressive and is presented in daemonic form after he's ascended to serve Tzeentch.
It's certainly a far cry from this Epic version of him...
Speculate away below what you think of him. Interestingly this means that Forge World will work on a version of Magnus in his more human guise (we assume) but there will also be this new plastic version of him for those who want him in all his majesty.

What do you think?

I like what this might imply for the future of chaos marines. It could mean they will give each of the 4 cult legions their own codex and model-range.
Fully fleshed out Thousand Sons army list? Yes please 😀
Warhammer tv just popped up a video plastic sons sprue ….
I think it’s kinda ugly. I think he’d look better with more human hands and feet and it looks like his crown has slipped down over his face like a kid wearing a too big paper crown from a Christmas cracker. It’s not a bad mini per say, but it’d look better with a bird head and called a Lord of Change. I’d also have liked to have seen larger nipple horns on his armour, even though that be more impracticle from an armour ornamentation point of view. At least it’s better than the old Epic version, and as the… Read more »
If this is real it’s got the potential to get me back into 40K. We shall see what happens over the next few weeks!!
Very much a case of better pics/360/see it in the flesh needed. Initial impression is not positive but we shall see.
But give me burning of prospero leaks – that I would find more interesting.
Same here, until I see it in the flesh, underwhelmed
On the plus side we still have the FW Magnus to look forward to – maybe that’ll be better.
It’s FW, of course it will be! 😀
This popped up on my Facebook feed. Not sure how genuine it is, it looks real enough, like someone has been through the bins at GW HQ

Hmm, beast of war doesn’t like that URL. I wonder if this one works

New Magnus the Red reminds me a lot about Illidan Stormrage from Warcraft 3 and WoW.
…I had forgotten about that old epic sculpt! I’m not sure, but I may even have it somewhere…
According to the new Warhammer TV vid we’re also getting plastic Thousand Sons for him to lead into battle 😀
I miss the winged blue orangutan look from Epic but I suppose it’ll have to do. Looking forward to daemon Angron and Mortarion a lot.
I think they are doing a book/figure for every Primarch Guilliman’s is already out.

That’s a novel rather than a codex/expansion. You can already preorder Magnus and Russ’s books on Amazon even though they’re not out until 2017. Fairly sure Black Library have already stated each primarch will get their own book, and I doubt they’re going to be tied into any mini releases considering there’s no Guilliman to tie in with the Guilliman book .
Anyone else notice that the “leaked” image also seems to have been taken in front of a red bin in the warhammer video.
I do like the last line in the video though “ohhh… plastic sisters of battle” Surely they are not that mean. 🙂
They were only there to cover up the plastic Squats.
:p
Please oh Please…. (yeah I know that won’t happen)
Corporate espionage! – someone hoked a mocked-up sample box from the GW bins? 🙂
Looked at the link. Where does someone draw the line between a passion and obsession? Dumpster diving at GW HQ must be new, lol.
I had to click! I find it very difficult to visualise Magnus from the novels and 40k Lore. This one looks on the cusp of Daemon-hood 🙂
