The Lord Inquisitor: “Grey Knights” Teaser Trailer
June 22, 2014 by lloyd
New trailer for the The Lord Inquisitor has just hit the web today, here's what they had to say about it:
"Another insight of The Lord Inquisitor project created and directed by Erasmus Brosdau. This teaser shows a glimpse of the space marines called "Grey Knights", which will have an important role in the full movie.
Also this teaser marks a new era for independant film making as the whole sequence was entirely rendered in realtime using the not yet released CryEngine Cinebox.
This teaser was rendered on one GTX 780 ti."

Iron man eat your heart out love it and the picture at the end (keep it coming).
Looks fantastic
By the time this film is released, it will be the year 40,000
Dribble….
Looks amazingly well done for a fanboy effort. Makes me even more annoyed about the €35 I wasted on that godawful Ultramarines movie.
I know that feel.
Its laughable how much better this looks compared Ultramarines.
That is a hugely impressive fan project. It really does show the Ultramarines movie in a somewhat less than favourable light.
It just goes to show what true (and perhaps slightly scarily obsessive) dedication can acheive.
I look forward to seeing the finished product whenever it is ready.
Each teaser gets better and better.
I’m not aware of the plot of this movie, but I’m curious as to why the chest plates of the marine statues in the hallway have the inverted Ultramines omega symbol.
Just wow!
As people have pointed out, how did the Ultra marine movie get an official green light while this is not offically supported?
Frickin LOVE the Pooh out of it! No doubt the evil little minds at GW will attempt to get some kind of grubby little ownership of it . Hopefully it will backfire on them of course and they will end up having to pay both sides’ legal costs . This still won’t teach them tho. sadly
The great satan has given it’s blessings apparently, the team are able to carry on without fear of being shut down… for the time being at least.
that’s crazy that that was rendered in real time : O
I guess that means they can now adjust camera angles and lighting as much as they like,
and ten they can get an instant preview of the finished shot 😛
… hopefully it might shave a few years off the release time too 😛 ha ha
Wow amazing, yes it doe look better than Ultramarines but remember that Ultramarines was also done by fans for fans.
Brother G
Well, apart from the company that was paid to do it… 😉
I think they’ve got Aaron Demski Bowden writing the script for it aswell!
Looks good!
I think people are often too harsh on the ULTRAMARINES Movie. I thought it was a solid effort for an untried and untested intellectual property’s first outing as a feature length film. Obviously they weren’t gonna throw tons of £ at it but the voice cast were terrific and I enjoyed the story. This looks like it will trounce it though…. if we ever get to see it!
“I have no visibility to the sides!”
Looks pretty good… does anyone have any idea how they are going to distribute the film once it’s done?
the interwebs…
Woo Hoo !
This is bleeding love.
i hear GW’s BanHammer from here…. looks sweet though 🙂
It is greenlighted by GW and even gets support from the Black Libary.
Yeah, on his Facebook page, he’d announced that GW even wrote to him and wished him luck & support on this project.
Oh my days this looks good!! Haven’t been this excited since the little live action Space Hulk scenes they screened at Games Day 94!
Wow! Very atmospheric and beautifully rich in detail. The finished film will be a treat. I like the release date set as 201X:). Erasmus and GW have apparently reached an agreement whereby, so long as there are zero dollars earned in the production or release of the film, GW will not halt it’s production or prevent distribution. All the people involved are allowed detailed credit for their input, and I believe they can also use their contribution as part of their résumé, but nobody gets a brass razoo for their work. I watched Ultramarines again over the weekend. The only… Read more »
Nice Nice Nice….need more!
In fairness to the Ultramarines movie the voice acting was great and the animation was quite good. What disappointed me was the story by Dan Abnett. He’s one of the best writers in 2000AD at the moment and one of my favourite Black Library authors so I know he is capable of amazing action scenes. I was expecting 80% action and 20% moody conversation but instead I feel like we got a movie based on the 5th Ed rule book: a lot of Movement, some Shooting and a bit of Assault. That said, my screensaver is a series of screen… Read more »
The “Ultramarines” movie gets far too much stick, and although I can understand the reasons… What would you have preferred? Perhaps an “adaption” conceived by a dippy Hollywood producer like the one that, during the era of Nicholas Cage to become Superman, knew two things about Superman: jack and shit; jack left town. His vision being Superman didn’t fly because it was “gay”, and he wanted him to fight a giant spider, which is basically what you saw in “Wild Wild West”. That was his vision, and I forget his name. All things considered. Again, I understand why “Ultramarines” is… Read more »
Well that trailer deserves a…humana humana humana
It’s things like this that make me think that Game Workshop don’t deserve their fans, but in this case I sure am glad they have them! This looks awesome!
