The latest season of Warhammer 40,000 is coming to an end with the last boxed set, Gallowfall. The massive space hulk is breaking apart and heading to the planet below. That means some enterprising Kill Teams are looking to scoop up the last bits of technology they can. It's Leagues Of Votann versus Beastmen in this new set from Games Workshop.

Leading the way for this new set are the Hearthkyn Salvagers. This is a standard set of Hearthkyn from the Leagues Of Votann with an upgrade sprue that allows you to turn these squat fellows into a team of enterprising scavengers. They are seeking to get their hands on some long-lost Ironkin cognitive units before the hulk comes apart at the seams.

The set comes with plenty of fun options for making specialists to use in your games. You've got that classic-looking rotary cannon at the bottom which is giving by fun Alien vibes. You've then got that one fellow at the top who looks to be rocking a pair of "power knuckles" for want of a better term. A solid band of treasure hunters that could be fun to use in your games of Warhammer 40,000 as well.

Coming up against these salvagers in the heart of the hulk, you also have The Fellgor Ravagers. These Beastmen are seeking to despoil everything in their path and don't particularly care that the Votann might actually want to preserve some of the technology found within the Gallowdark.

This set is a completely new Kill Team that features a band of Fellgor Warriors alongside a few specialists. You also get bits to make the Ironhorn, Shaman, Fluxbray and more. The kit also comes with a set of different heads and horns that would allow you to further customise your collection.

We'd seen some Beastmen in Necromunda and Blackstone Fortress in the past and so it's good to see them getting a wider showing for Warhammer 40,000 in Kill Team. Much like with Warcry and Underworlds, Kill Team seems like the perfect place for Games Workshop to showcase the fringes of the grimdark universe they have created. There's plenty of fun to be had gaming in those gaps.

Capping things off for Gallowfall, you also get a host of additional terrain that could be used to complete a Kill Team collection, turn into something for Warhammer 40,000 or use in Boarding Actions.

I really like the stasis chambers that you get in the set and the various escape pods which you very much hope are going to work when you need them. I would imagine we're going to be seeing some fun scenarios coming out of this particular set when it lands.

Gallowfall is coming up for pre-order this weekend and will then be followed up by Ashes Of Faith shortly afterwards.

Could you be tempted to dive in and get this set for Kill Team?
