Helbrecht Returns & More Orks Rampage Into Warhammer 40K Soon
September 21, 2021 by brennon
We had even more news from the folks at Games Workshop this week. Leading the way is yet another miniature for the Black Templars in Warhammer 40,000. High Marshal Helbrecht is ready to do battle with the witch and the Xenos soon alongside his Battle Brothers.

High Marshal Helbrecht here is presented with some major foot-on-rock AND in something new, a bit of foot-on-ork! Helbrecht is presented with his massive power sword which has just cut an Ork to ribbons and two attendants who are ready to aid him should the need arise.

One of the attendants is cleaning the Ork blood from his sword whilst another is preparing to hand him his combi-melta. The miniature itself is also incredibly detailed with layers of additional pomp and ceremony that reinforce that feeling of a crusading space knight as we talked about yesterday.
There are three head options for you to choose from, one helmeted and two bare (I like the helmeted one), and there are other nuggets of lore built into his design. For example, he lost his hand battling Imotekh the Stormlord and now it has been replaced with a bionic one. It is also apt for there to be an Ork on the base since the Black Templars have been on their tail for ages!
New Orks!
As well as the preview for the Black Templars we also got the news that pre-orders are firing up this weekend for a selection of new Orks too. This continues to build on the Beast Snagga clans that are currently on the warpath.
Mozrog Skragbad // Warhammer 40,000
The first of the miniatures is the monstrous Mozrog Skragbad and the equally monstrous Great White Squig. Big Chompa is an absolutely gargantuan squig that towers over everything on the battlefield and could probably eat a Space Marine whole. Skragbad has also seen his own share of action and comes heavily modified with all manner of bionics.
You can also use the same kit to build the Beastboss On Squigosaur if you don't want to drop a named character into the mix.
Beastboss On Squigosaur // Warhammer 40,000
His Squigosaur is no less mean and dangerous when stood next to the Great White Squig but I think it is a little smaller at the very least. It still has a maw full of teeth and is very eager to start eating things.
When things get a little hairy for your Orks then you can call on the aid of the Painboss. Perhaps this means stitching you up. Maybe you need a brand new metal arm? This chap can help you out.

I love that he is absolutely covered in all sorts of quirky bits of kit. He even has a few squigs which have been turned into medical accessories. How could you not love the little Grot Orderly that is following him into battle too? He looks wheely cool!
Talking of wheels but at a much larger scale, we also have the new Kill Rig.

If you thought that the Beast Snaggas were going to be outdone by other Ork clans then you were mistaken. They can make just as impressive machines and they also draw on their big fun squig friends too. "Friends" is probably taking things too far I guess.
A big vehicle that is able to harness psychic energy as well as put some big guns to use.
Are you excited for more Warhammer 40,000 releases?

More orks are always good! But surprisingly Helbrecht is looking pretty good as well; some of the details like the servitor cleaning the ork blood off his sword are a nice touch!
(Does a mini get away with foot-on-rock if it’s foot-on-corpse?)
The new squigs could look great squaring up to rough riders.
Because GW has removed the artist’s signature from the picture that inspired the miniature …
