This weekend saw the release of the Deathshroud Bodyguard for the Death Guard of Warhammer 40,000 from Games Workshop.

Deathshroud Bodyguard

These warriors, upgraded and gifted with chaos mutations from their time during the Horus Heresy, are back to lend support to their Primarch who has ascended to daemonhood. They have some terrifying weapons with those scythes able to reap their way through pretty much whatever stands in their way.

Their special rule also allows them to leap in the way of oncoming damage from others to protect their designated leader. You might need a few more than three of these for your retinue.

What's New?

Coming this weekend we also have some new models in the form of the Blightlord Terminators.

Blightlord Terminators

Bringing into battle all of the weapons you'd associate with Terminators as well as a few more esoteric weapons gifted to them by the Plague Lord himself this is the beginning of a reinvention for the Terminators that serve the Dark Gods.

Whilst I don't expect we're going to see it for all of the different Chaos Gods it would be nice to see variants for Khorne and Slaanesh too alongside what we now have for Nurgle and Tzeentch.

Leading them into battle we also have a new version of Typhus who is already a wrecking ball on the tabletop according to those I've seen playing Nurgle.

Typhus

The model sees him in a bit more of an animated pose than before with his scythe held high ready to call his warriors forth into battle. He certainly makes those Poxwalker hordes people have been using more dangerous.

What do you make of these new infested and infected miniatures?
