Heavily Armed Battle Sisters Previewed For Warhammer 40,000
May 28, 2019 by brennon
Games Workshop has previewed more of what's coming for Warhammer 40,000 and the Adepta Sororitas range in Warhammer 40,000. This time around they looked to the heavy weapon options for the Sisters Of Battle and their Retributors.
Flamers, Meltas and Bolters are the holy trinity for the Sisters Of Battle and as you can see the folks at Games Workshop have gone that extra mile to show off just how worshipped these weapons are by the Adepta Sororitas. There's still quite of detail work needed for these sculpts but I'm looking the style they've gone fore, preserving the old school look of the Sisters Of Battle whilst also developing a new style.
I mentioned Flamers before and Games Workshop showed off a peek at this too with another weapon option and a head swap.
You clearly need all of the flamers, all of the time in an Adepta Sororitas list. One assumes you're going to get a fair few weapon options in these heavy support squads which can also be dotted in and around your standard units too.

As well as the addition of new core troops it looks like we're getting a few extra characters as well like the Armorium Cherub.
He will be included as part of the heavy weapon kit and no doubt offer a quick way to get ammo to your warrior women. You don't want to run out of fuel as your burning heretics!
What do you make of the new heavy weapon designs for the Sisters Of Battle?
"You don't want to run out of fuel as your burning heretics!"

The helmet of the top model reminds me of the old metal Arbites from the 90s for some reason. More Cherubs, please!
it had previously been used on 4 sisters and later an additional Sister Superior barring the speaker on the helmet side
I’m happy they’ve decided to not change the whole look, they were spot on when they first sculpted them.
I like.
Those make me really hyped for release of SoB codex and plastic models. Wait is almost over and it has been worth it.
Yes! Take my wallet.
I have 3000 points of metal Sisters including ForgeWorld models and conversions. With the plastics it looks like my Sisters army will grow larger than my guard army with its 38 vehicles.
Can’t wait to see what the army starter offer will be on the website
So … squats next ?
They’ve already confirmed that they still exist within the 40k setting … 😉
“Reset the Clock!”
They are dragging this out way too long.
Release that shit already or I´ll spent my money elsewhere !
great figures good to see more battle sisters.
Good thing they are not releasing a starter box prior to the hobby weekend as I would have to get there via hell or high alcohol.
The Raging Heroes models blow these out of the water IMO.
