A new year and new animations are coming to Warhammer Plus from Games Workshop. A trailer dropped last week for Pariah Nexus, a new animation that is going to be coming out later this year.

In the trailer, we see that the Adepta Sororitas and Astra Militarum find themselves beleaguered on a world blighted by the forces of the Necrons. We see a Sister and Imperial Guardswoman discussing their plight against the backdrop of Necrons doing some terrible things!

A famous face from Warhammer 40,000 also makes an appearance. Illuminor Szeras is front and centre, getting stuck into all sorts of twisty and turny plots and schemes. In the trailer, we see him sending a Deathmark assassin to take out a target. We also see him doing what appears to be some experiments on a few humans (as alluded to above).

It wouldn't be a Warhammer 40,000 animation without some Space Marines though and the Adeptus Astartes make an appearance. With their transport shot down, it seems like the Ultramarines might be trying to escape from the clutches of the Necrons too. There is even a Salamander getting stuck into the fighting, battling his way free of a fiery environment as he deals with a Kriegsman who may or may not have become corrupted.

This could also be linked in with what we saw during the 9th Edition launch...
