Games Workshop Offer More FREE Stuff In White Dwarf
December 19, 2014 by brennon
Games Workshop have put some more free stuff in White Dwarf this week and this time it's Cities of Death Objective Cards that will be available this week and next...
You'll get eighteen cards in this issue and then another eighteen in the next. As well as the Warhammer 40,000 content there's also a neat battle report showing off the new Smaug and Bilbo Baggins. Nice to see the little guy getting a bit of love and a title on the front cover!
Will you be picking this up tomorrow?

It’s a smart move on their part. There are likely a lot of people who don’t bother with WD, either because they never did or because pulling it from newsstands and putting just in the stores (and online store) made it too much of a faff. Putting usable stuff in with it should mean more footfall. It’s worked on me this week and I haven’t been in a GW store in months.
is it the first of April GW? FREE? it is the end after all then. were DOOMED
What do you know, GW giving something useful free. I do wonder what quality those cards are considering that those are offered free in 3,20€ magazine.
The supplement included in this week’s issue for the Battle of the Five Armies is excellent quality. They could easily sell it for a few quid instead of giving it away with WD.
Ah, this takes me back to when they had that Space Marine in the WD, or that board game (Warmaster) free in WD.
I love to see them go back to things that I loved way back when.
Credit where it is due
Good move
Only a small thing but hopefully this will see a start of a thawing of attitudes to customers.
It seems that they are not releasing any new models for a couple of weeks over Christmas so they are filling the space with freebies and mini-games.
The quality of the cards is ok. Not as great as the normal cards you would buy but still usable. You need to carefully remove them from the pages though which I haven’t done yet. That could damage them if I’m not careful.
There were also some good Blood Angel formation rules which I particularly liked.
