Games Workshop Introduce Blackstone Fortress Friends & Foes To Kill Team
December 9, 2018 by brennon
Games Workshop has introduced new rules so you can use the characters and enemies from Blackstone Fortress as part of your Kill Teams.
The new Chaos Space Marines included as part of Blackstone Fortress are some of the coolest looking models out there and, being entirely unique sculpts, they make for a perfect warband to use in Kill Team. Rules for the Commander Chaos Lord, Obsidius Mallex and more can be found in the PDF HERE.
As well as the Chaos Space Marines the other characters are also included to be used as Commanders and such throughout your Kill Teams.
Kill Team does really seem to be THE game to get your claws into if you want to enjoy some Warhammer 40,000. There are a lot of people who enjoy picking and choosing from the different factions and designing interesting new Kill Teams to tell stories on the tabletop.
All of the information you might need to start building Kill Teams is included as part of the Command Roster too. This is a great program for building your Kill Teams online. You will still need the rules of course but this is a neat resource to take into account.
Are you going to be giving more Kill Team a go?

Super happy with this, I think Obsidius Mallex is an awesome model, and will fit into my Black Legion force nicely!
No cant’s look still have beadsmen to finish/start.
This is great because it allows CSM players to use those great looking models outside Blackstone Fortress.
Nice. It would have been a missed opportunity if they didn’t include the blackstone fortress heroes and villains in Killteam.
Heck, I also hope they allow for killteams to be used in blackstone fortress as it feels like the kind of mission they would be used for anyway.

And it looks like the Eldar finally got a named commander as the ranger from Blackstone is listed as a commander option. It kind of sucks having to buy the game just for the one model though.
Lots of box splitters on ebay, I picked up some of the spindles for a song, looks like the ranger goes for about a tenner.
the regular Killteam commanders also have a few extra cards in their box.
So I’m kind of hoping GW makes her an official Killteam commander.
Great news!
I have Blackstone Fortress and i picked a few more Beastmen on ebay and even thinking of starting a Chaos army for 40K with some of these guys too!
