Forge World Search The Tomb Worlds For New Necrons
March 14, 2013 by brennon
Forge World have headed back to the darkness of space and found something stirring in the realm of the Necrons. Check out their Night Shroud Bomber and Necron Tomb Citadel below...
First up is this flyer for the Necrons that is looking pretty mean. These vehicles used to carry Death Spheres into battle, deadly anti-matter bombs, that would hit and tear everything asunder.
The Necrons also have access to this neat Realm of Battle Board styled after a Necron home world. As you can see it has a bit of the Mayan and Aztec influence but changed to fit in with the metallic nature of the Necron.
Obviously you'll be wanting to buy four of these so you can create an epic board.
What do you think of these Necron offerings?

Not really liking the shape at all. I know the others are like it as well. Its just me being a moody fleshling. I am glad that Necron are getting some love now. Unlike before, only 2 items was just lame for the longest time.
Not enough pyramids!
There are pictures on the Forgeworld site that show that the structure in the corner can take a Monolith. Bring your own pyramid, maybe. It’s very, very cool.
At FW it is shown thar a monolith can land on the top of the pyramid. Just like in StarGate!!! Uff… now I want to watch that movie…
At £90 it ain’t that good
The flyer is £70
The most outrageous thing is the pylon. £93 for a globe stand. There is bugger all to it.
Before anyone says it, don’t worry I won’t be buying:. Sense>money

A globe stand? Now there’s a conversion idea! 😀
I get it now. The recent spate of laughably bad GW releases makes sense. GW’s core product line is aimed more and more at 12-year-olds who like cartoony-looking things. Then ForgeWorld starts making actual Warhammer 40k products for those who have already sunk thousands of dollars into their armies during the pre-scooby doo days. Of course, if you want products that don’t look like Kenner toys you have to pay a premium price for them. In another ten years, they’ll swap styles again and the people with cartoony armies will be going to ForgeWorld and paying twice as much for… Read more »
this actually makes a depressing amount of sense… still i’ve quite liked some recent releases (read black knights and deathwing knight boxes also herald of khorne) here’s hoping they pick up on quality production again now they’re rumbled 😉
Curse you and your dog. You figured out our plans for world domination!
ahhh prometheus????
or am i the only one who is seeing the similarity?
why does a flyer need spines and a silly short strait tail? the flyer looks ridicules.

here you see the effort that went in to details just look ….
mmmm I don’t know, look’s pretty cool to me. Love the paint job too. Can’t afford GW any longer (going on 6 years) but cool is cool, now I’m off to play Dystopian wars and Saturday a full day of Warpath…. I swear Ronnie Renton, if you had long hair and boobs I’d marry you.
Mpopke hits the nail on the head. Well spoken.
