Forge World Take A Peek At The Alpha Legion On Their Workbench!
March 9, 2015 by brennon
In the latest Forge World Bulletin they checked out an upcoming Alpha Legion character that will soon be making it out onto the webstore. What do you make of Armillus Dynat for these traitorous marines?
Armillius was a feared commander and little was known about him apart from a few scarce recordings by the Ultramarines during several engagements with the enemy. He was an unorthodox commander and employed very interesting tactics on the battlefield including attacks where he would maim and dissect enemy formations before eventually killing his foes.
He certainly looks pretty formidable as a character and he is very in keeping with the other 'lesser' heroes that we've seen from Forge World with a more commanding and authoritative stance on a fairly epic scenic base.
What do you make of him as a character and model?

I like the FW Alpha legion stuff. Perhaps the scale decoration is a bit too small though. Looks ever so slightly like his mum knitted his power armour…
I thought it looked like he stole Red Sonja’s chest armor. Looks a bit bikini like.
You more swimsuit fella 😉
That looks really good.
Simply Awesome, I think Alpha Legion is gunna be my puppy 😉
This guy looks absolutely fantastic, lots better than Pollux. The Event only one just looked a bit off probably due to the helmet, goes to show if you swapped out the head and shoulders, plus used this fella it’d make a great HQ base for an Alpha Legion army in either 30 or 40k.
10/10 on this one. Forgeworld keeps throwing wrenches in the works as I try and plan my next project… swines!
looks good in a related note will they be doing the II & the XI legion destroyed? during the herasy.
I doubt it. There’s more than enough to keep them going for a long time yet, and both of the missing legions were gone well before the Horus Heresy.
never say never?
