Feast Your Eyes on 40KAmateurHour’s April Fools Battle Report!
April 1, 2014 by dracs
Happy April Fools everybody! Midst all the internet hoaxes and tongue in cheek news reports we came across what has to be the greatest battle report ever as the guys from YouTube channel 40KAmateurHour pay homage to your favourite website.
It's time for some Warhammer 40k FEAST WARS!
Chad and James go head to head in a battle for the Relish, fielding armies of Doom Croissants, Lemon Russ tanks, and Corn Berserkers, all narrated by the glorious Scottish accent of Rico.
What ensues is a Warhammer 40k game of truly epic proportions filled with magnificent puns as each unit is creamed, toasted and devoured.
A big thanks to the guys at AmateurHour for bringing us all this great April Fools homage. It contained many of the things we at Beasts of War prize highly, namely gaming, food and, of course, plenty of cheese. And Scottish accents too, can't forget those.
Happy April Fools Day people!

Ha! That’s pure, unalloyed awesome!
Look at all that Tau cheese.
Is it weird that this vid made one hungry ?
Not an April fools joke but really funny, how’s the diet going Warren? 🙂
Was fine till I saw this – …goes back to eating!…
trying to figure out what accents they are supposed to be
Well we’re N. Irish based, and the accent they said he was going for in the vid description was scottish
To be fair to the guys, there not far off, we only have to hop across the giants causeway and we’re there. (Figuratively Speaking) 🙂
The NI accent is related to the Scotish accent.
Yup, the N. Irish dialect is named Ulster Scots for a reason. And that reason is that even after living in this country for 9 years I still can’t understand it.
What is a schuch! What the hell does oxter mean? What are you all talking about!!!!!
I haven’t enjoyed a 40k game so much before, well done to the crazy yanks.
good one.
Got to get me some of those Lemon Russes. 🙂
a fun little video by the guys there
as a ulsterman i demand reparations for that accent
well oil beef hooked, I know you guys and I know a few Scots, and to me it was like Van Dyke speaking cockney
Excellent! I’ve laughed all along!
It’s time to have a new lunch time! ^_^
A very nice homage! Cheers 40kAmateurHour!
Now that made me laugh big time. You guys better start doing battle reports as good as them or they might take over your show 😉
I’m not usually cool about playing with food (call me old-fashioned), but the accents were so authentic I’m willing to let it slide.
Though it would have been better if the units had been turned into actual pies.
That made my day :). Especially the accent.
how many points does this come out to?
Weightwatcher points? or 40K points?
I find stuff like this really hard to stomach.
Also they missed a trick after the Gouda was shredded, they should have said “That was Great”
Where were the Piemarks?
or the Pie-Ovore
I ate while i watched the video, but now i also want bagels, cheese and cake.
Well done to our Yankee Cousins! It amuses on multiple levels. I hope this has set a trend and a Beasts of War yearly tradition.
Aye, putting the “Pun” back in gameing. Well done AmatureHour.
Isn’t this a normal apoc game?
