Enterprising Real Life Tech Priest Builds Working 40k Chainsword
June 14, 2015 by brennon
If you're looking for something cool to work on hobby wise for a while then how about following in the footsteps of Games Workshop Parramatta and building your own Chainsword? See what you think of the creation HERE...
Like the crazy weapon featured in the image above with Captain Titus this contraption does actually 'work'. A series of gears in the hilt spin the teeth of the Chainsword around. It goes to show the complex ways in which you can use 3D printing now.
All it needs is some sound effects and this weapon is going to be good to go! Sadly it won't ever be on sale but it's certainly something awesome.
What do you think of it?

That’s cool. 🙂
Totally!
300 hours of print time – amazing
That’s really cool.
I love it when people in our hobby do something crazy like this
Hey! There’s NO inventing in 40K!!
Sure, you can “discover” older, vastly cooler stuff…but no inventing. That way lies CHAOS!!
Skullz, skullz, skullz…
Brilliant!
brilliant stuff next the bolter?
how much and when?
It’s not for sale, the designer is keeping this one just for himself…. I bet he’d make a fortune if he sold em!
Shame I think it will sell well.
The number of 40k Cosplayers is quite staggering, whilst it’s not my bag, I’m constantly impressed at the lengths they go to to get the look. There were a good number at the Warhammer World opening the other week, some of them were seriously amazing.
this is well money spend!
