Welcome to another week of Community Spotlights from the Hobby & Painting Forum. We gave you a sneaky look at these on Hobby Night Live on Thursday night but here they are for your viewing enjoyment!

We've got some fantastic Fantasy to dive into this week plus some creepy Genestealers whose cult is coming to life!

The Significant Seven by malevolentmc

As painted for the recent Kickstarter, The Significant Seven, malevolentmc has put together some stunning Dwarves. Now, I know what you're going to say "Ben talking about Dwarves again...boring" but seriously wait until you check out these characters and their paint jobs.

Significant Seven by malevolentmc

The collection shows off all manner of Dwarves from across the genres and the painting on them is superb. There is such attention to detail given to bringing out their individual character and making them feel like they're part of their own little worlds.

Significant Seven #2 by malevolentmc

I've picked out some of my favourite close-ups of the characters that malevolentmc has painted up and you'll get a much better idea of how much he's done to these. He's even painted all the little variants in the potion bottle on this fellows (above) belt!

Significant Seven #3 by malevolentmc

When you get to see the floral designs on the Samurai's outfit and the facial details too you'll see why I was blown away by these fellows.

This fellow below has to be my favourite though, the Barbarian with his mighty sword in hand. The work on the muscles and hair, with all of the additional highlighting and shading is top notch.

Significant Seven #4 by malevolentmc

If you want to see more of the range that he's painted up, make sure to leap across to the forum post and let him know what you think. Some fantastic painting here!

Genestealer Cult by voidifremoved

Creeping up from the ducts and pipes of a Hive City we have this fantastic collection of Genestealers, starting with a Broodlord by voidifremoved.

Genestealers #1by voidifremoved

This scheme is nice and simple but provides you with a terrifying look when finished. The purple and blue armour plating have that feel of the xenomorph about it which is great and it contrasts nicely with the brighter flesh of the Broodlord.

A dominating figure that has a very realistic look to him which is hard to achieve. I think you'd simply turn tail and run if this came stalking towards you. Special mention has to go to the highlighting work on the armour plating to make it stand out in the darker colours.

Genestealers #2 by voidifremoved

His cult is growing too as you'll see by these little fellows. Whilst not as big as their overlord they are quite dangerous looking and creepy to boot. It will be fun to see this protect continue to expand over the coming weeks and months.

Gloomhaven Heroes by janus1004

Last but not least this week we turn out attention to some Gloomhaven characters that have been painted up by janus1004. You might have heard us gushing about this lot on the Weekender just gone and you'll see why when you check out the cool heroes from this game.

Gloomhaven #1 by janus1004

Leading the way we have the Inox Brute above with his deep red devilish skin burning through against the other more muted tones of the model. I really like the texture that has been kept in the painting of this hero and the flickering evil eyes staring at you.

Next up we have janus1004's wife's character, the Human Scoundrel.

Gloomhaven #2 by janus1004

It's nice for the theme of the characters to carry over into the painting and you can see it here in the deep greens giving her this almost eldritch and unnatural feel. He has also done well to add character to the base by including the riches spread beneath her feet; quite appropriate for a scoundrel!

Last we have his work on the Orchid Spellweaver which he plays in the game.

Gloomhaven #3 by janus1004

It's nice to see characters that are beyond the normal scope of most dungeon delving Fantasy games. I really like the elemental feel ehre with her shard-like skin and its bright blue working against the softer tones of the fire. It's a very striking model and he's done a sterling job of bringing these characters to life as a whole.
