Games Workshop have dropped a quick trailer for their new and upcoming Kill Team boxed set. Ahead of the big reveal tomorrow we got a look at a new clash between Ork Kommandos and the Death Korps Of Krieg.

So, this confirms that we're going to be getting some brand new plastic figures for the Death Korps Of Krieg and Orks alongside more terrain and updated rules.
"The ultimate reimagining of Warhammer 40,000’s iconic skirmish game – Kill Team – is on the way. This is a brand new game, wholly redesigned to capture the brutality of special-ops combat in the 41st Millennium. Whether you’re a raw recruit or returning specialist, if you like the idea of crack squads of geared-up operatives hunting each other through the bullet-riddled war zones of Warhammer 40,000, you’re going to love it."
Kill Team does seem like a good entry point into the grim darkness of the far future. So, will you be getting involved. Also, how good was that trailer? I was ace seeing them burn, shoot, stab and all-round murder each other?!
Will you be giving this a pop?

Don’t really need another Kill Team box, but I am tempted by Orks and the gas masked dudes. Space Marines are not interesting to me.
I really liked the trailer! Love Orks! I really enjoy playing Kill Team, especially since I can’t carve out enough time to play proper 40K.
Is this for a new addition of Kill Team or just a new box set?
Looks to be an updated set of rules for Kill Team. Logo looks different so I’m guessing all tweaked.
I can’t wait to see what is revealed tomorrow. I would love to see Kill Teams released in a box like the Warcry Warbands.
Just as I’ve stuck together some test Les Grognards. Great timing! 🙂
Those Death Korps look great. I’ll stick with Wargames Atlantic out of pure dunderheadedness.
I always wanted to get into Kill Team and I have some Forgeworld Deathkorp minis so this is perfect.
I really do hope we will get a full Deathkorp army with lots of artillery.
And I did enjoy the trailer.
Bugger! There goes the rest of this month’s salary.
O’kz!
Still reserve judgement until we see something actually in store *and* available…
If it’s going to be the new edition of the game you’d hope they make the core set readily available. But, who knows…
Well the Warhammer Community page mentions a massive launch box so I can see this beeing a Indomitus/Dominion style box with one or more smaller boxes released later.
Though I hope this is not the case.
agreed. Unless the orcs look really awesome and great… *looks over to the dresser* there are… “a lot of” points on Space Orks waiting… to be let out again…
So it’s available while stocks last. They said that they made enough like with Dominion which is still available now.
Though I think this will sell faster than Dominion, but everything from this box will be released seperately later.
Death Korps and Orks…my two favorite 40K armies, getting plastic releases in a new Kill Team box set… I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK.
The lack of a trench shovels from DKoK for CC will be remedied when I get the box.
Absolutely!
Looking foward to this one. I tend to play more in the boxed games than I do the main line 40k so even if a new boxed set might not be the biggest deal for me (make or break could be whether we see new Ork sculpts or whether this is the old ones being parcelled off) it’s just great to see that Kill Team is continuing to be supported and its not just dropping off into oblivion after the initial releases.
Either way, I’ll definately be picking up the rules one way or another.
it never felt like Killteam got consistent support like Warcry does.
It’s always been : here is the box and a few months later everything related to the latest update is out of stock. Even the initial killteams from the (re?)launch are nowhere to be found.
As such I do wonder if they are going to stick with it, especially since it looks like they’re adding new teams/factions to the mix. OTOH … the Rogue trader killteam never got anwywhere.
My relationship with Kill Team is odd. In many ways, I don’t mind that there isn’t a huge amount of unique support for it as so much of it can be ported from 40k wholesale (at least as far as models go). You’re right that some of the “unique” Kill Teams never really went anywhere but to me, that was never th point of KT. War Cry is about unique factions that spin out from the AoS lore but do something different. Kill Team is about getting a standard 40k box and being able to play them without getting a… Read more »
GW and condensing stuff in a single place ? I doubt we will see anything like that, except perhaps in their army builders. I suspect we will be seeing the ‘Elite’ and ‘Commander’ expansions again as I doubt the stuff from that is integrated in the new core book (just look at Necromunda). Those ‘unique’ killteams were simply existing squads with a bit of extra terrain and the Killteam unit cards, which made them real good value for money. I’d love to see more of that with more thought for factions that (IMHO) would perfectly fit the Killteam style like… Read more »
There is only one thing, that could interest me in 40k: Death Korps Of Krieg… But untill now, the prices of Forge World could hold me back pretty easily. Now I could worry for my wallet, if I wouldnt know, that GW is able and willing to reach a similar price level. ?
Wow a fantastic add.
Hehe I just picked up the 6mm proxy Kriegers from vangaurd and was thinking I’m going to need a reference pic…thanks GW ?
If they streamline the gameplay in the new rules, I may be in. Just for a rulebook though. Not interested in new armies.
The current rules are just too cumbersome and longwinded. Too much dicerolling to achieve very little. If they make it more Warcry style though, I’d be on it like white on rice.
A brand new game ?
Someone forgot we’ve seen 3 new core sets (Rogue Trader, spacewolves variant and the Pariah Nexus box) for this one already since it was rebooted.
At first I thought this was a trailer for Killteam as a videogame (one of them co-op multiplayer shooter thingies).
As much as I love to see new Orks and a new faction (at least new to me) I’m more likely to loot this for Stargrave and less likely to play Killteam itself.
I have never played Kill Team nor 40K, but I really like the asthetic of the Death Korps.
Depending on the box contents I may pick up a box.
Is this a forerunner of the Death Korps being brought into the 40K fold; a’la Gene Stealer Cult?
Nice video. But Deadzone is life.
That trailer looks lot better than that 40k 9th edition trailer.
As you can see by my Icon there is no doubt I’m getting this box set!
I love Kill Team.. I think it’s one of the very few GW games worth playing. Having said that I anticipate struggling to be able to buy this set as 40k players won’t be able to stop themselves getting a just for the Krieg guard and orc kommandos.
Is it just me or does GW seem to release announcements the moment you finish filming the weekender and XLBS?
awesome trailer
So GW has gone full space Nazis ! 🙂
