The Dark Angel Legions Get Their Praetor & Dreadnought
August 10, 2019 by brennon
Forge World has added some new goodies into the mix for the Dark Angel Legions during The Horus Heresy. Come and check out the first of the pre-orders for the Dark Angels Legion Praetor.
This new Praetor comes clad in Cataphractii Terminator Armour and armed with a deadly looking power sword and plasma pistol which looks exceptionally chunky. This is a serious awesome looking gothic addition into the mix for those that want to play this cursed Chapter who fell into darkness during the period of the Horus Heresy.
It would be rather awesome to paint up a Dark Angel force in Primaris armour which gets this colour scheme. I love the idea that the Chapter Master Azrael has decided to try and bring back this old colour in order to try and put forth the idea that the Dark Angels are moving past their curse.
Angelic Contemptor
As well as the Praetor we also have this Dark Angel Legion Contemptor Dreadnought.
The arms for the Dreadnought that you can see at the back there are sold separately so you'll have to factor that in. However, I still feel the same about this Dreadnought as I do with the Praetor. I like the gothic armour and knightly designs.
Both of these models are up for pre-order this weekend!

Absutely love these. Cataphractii armour is slow as Hell on the table though so they get nowhere without a transport.
Those look really good. For the Lion!
Swarm them with grots or little tyranids… they can’t look down to save their life 😉
If Horus is supplying the dark Angeles new equipment does that confirm then falling from the light. as half the chapter was off planet doing the Empire’s bidding.
Both are armed with Volkite weaponry really cool.
Love the Praetor!
They do look really cool.
The first new dedicated DA stuff from Forgeworld in a while… does the Lion approach?!?
Love the models and the paint jobs.
It’s hard to go wrong with black white and red.
As a big fan of the First Legion, I’ve been really excited for the release of these!
